6.2L mpg update?

That's awesome mpg. Towing, I couldn't get anywhere near that. What engine is that on your trailer?
As for 2WD and New England, I know a few people who do it. One thing that surprised me was how well my truck went in 2WD mode with a load in the bed. Unloaded, the thing can barely get around in snow, and forget hills. But with 2,000lbs of wood pellets in the bed, I was able to drive around through my yard with 1.5' of packed, crusty snow with ease. If you were willing to put the weight in the bed, I think you could get around quite nicely. I still personally wouldn't buy a 2WD model though, living where I do.

I'm doing a 87 Turbo Coupe 4.6 swap.
Both of my personal trucks are 2wd because the only time I use them is in the spring thru fall.
I can see where you guys that have to drive in bad weather would opt for the 4wd.
I drive a 2wd 2013 F-150 ext. cab 5.0 at work and I love the way that traction control handles ice and snow. Easy on the gas and easy on the brake and it goes straight.

Once I go over 65 mpg in my truck, the mpg takes a dive.

The engine is a 2010 Mustang GT 3v.

The F-150 seems to do better in snow than the Super Duty. My old man has a 2011 5.0L. It is 4x4, but he rarely uses it. Gets around well in 2WD. That 5.0L is a nice engine.

The 5.0 engine is great.
The one I drive at work is an STX model and looks sharp.
Drives and handles great and has more power than I will ever need.
Gets 21 mpg hywy.
I almost bought a 2013 F150 5.0 2wd with 23K miles.
Then a day before I was going to go look at it, I saw the ad for the F250 I have now.
I may have sacrificed 5 mpg (hywy) by buying the F250 instead of the 1/2 ton, but when I tow my loaded 20 ft. enclosed trlr., I am glad I bought the Super Duty.

Agreed, the Super Duty is a better tow rig, especially if you plan to tow heavier loads relatively frequently. But the 5.0 is really quiet and smooth, and surprisingly powerful, and even his 4x4 model gets 18-19mpg highway; it has gotten over 20 a couple of times. He has a tonneau cover on his; I've heard that helps.
Our city recently replaced its fleet of police cruisers...they went from all Impalas (yuck) to a mix of Explorers & Tauruses but the Chief somehow now has a new F-150 4x4 STX extended cab for his cruiser. All black, alloy rims, hidden strobe lights in the grille, back window, etc. This replacing his former unmarked Impala! Very sharp truck.

I bought an F250XLT 4x2 super cab 6.2 l with 3.73 gears 6 sp tranny last November that is only getting 10 mpg city. I don't drive slow but nothing that should impact my mileage too much. I took it easy at first to see what mileage I got it was still only around 11 mpg, now I ride it a little harder, but not like it's a drag racer or anything. I really think it should get a little better mileage, from reading this topic I think I get the worst mpg a 6.2 can get, lucky me.

I've had these two trucks:
2012 F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 6.2L XLT 3.73
2015 F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 6.2L Lariat 3.73
Both basically could not do any better than 10mpg in the city, and often it was worse. I wasn't flooring it at every stop light, by any means, but I wasn't granny-driving either. Sounds about like you are driving.
On a long highway drive in New England, the best I'd see was about 16; Interstate driving resulted in 14mpg.
Lifetime average of the second truck was 10.9 for all the city and highway combined.

Not sure where you are located, but don't forget winter blend fuel. The SD 6.2L really takes a hit during the winter months.

I'm almost at 20,000 miles. I have 13.3 lifetime average. In the summer I went on a couple short (300 miles +/-) trips and was getting a little over 14. I drive mostly around 75. My local driving is a mix of highway & city & traffic so my speeds vary from 0 to 80. Just before the winter blend fuels came out I thought I would get my lifetime mileage over 14. I have my first lone trip (over 1,200 miles) coming up. I'm hoping to get over 14. I doubt this truck will get over 15 with me driving it.

Might get another gallon or so after the motor breaks in.
