Ok just filled 25gal and hand calculated, looks like I got 12.2 for 75% highway 25%city.. So not as bad as the lie-o-meter was making it.. But still not the 15+ others are stating.. Wonder if/when u get a regular bed it will go up 1 - 2mpg
You should gain some mpg with the lighter bed. Smaller tires will help too. The 3.73 work best with the 245/70/17 size, which is small. I have followed local 6.2 mpg trucks as well as on here. The 3.73's are not good for mpgs when you add any weight to the truck or larger tires. My dealer sees it ALL the time with the loggers. They take a bone stock XL, load it up with gear and fuel tank, put on large cooper maxx tires, and get 10. The 3.73 are not good for the 6.2 if one plans do anything other than run empty all the time. Some will argue the 3.73's are fine, but not me.
My light weight ccsb with 3.73 gets almost always 11-12 per tank fill up right now. I'm a 50/50 city/hwy driver. I have seen 14 hwy. I can get 15 hwy at 60 with 6th locked out.
Thank you rain, I actually live very close to you and appreciate the reply, that's pretty much the answer I was looking for. Unfortunately it also means if I want to lift the pickup I should get the 4.30 gears.. Or just get them anyways.. Lol might see if I can live without them and try the 6th gear lockout for a few tanks. I wanna try the 5star tuner but my wife isn't sold on the idea.

I call BS being a 2015 owner with 295/70R18's and a 2.5" leveling kit. But hey, it's the internet, you can say whatever you want!
Easy Hoss, I wouldn't call bs on rain for that. He's pretty much got his ducks in a row with all the data research he did for ordering his new truck with 4.30's. My dad has a 4.30 truck with the same tire I run and gets better local mileage than I do with 3.73's. And his truck has a lot more pep. With the added weight of logging gear and a aux fuel tank and heavy cooper stt Max tires, I'd say 10 would be good, especially in his terrain.
Anyway, your set up is what I have finally decided to go with, some pics would be great. Was the 2.5" lift a necessity or could you have just tied back the liners?

I meant it in terms of what I get, not saying he isn't getting the numbers he stated. Even towing my 6500lb I still can pull 9.5 on the regular. As for my truck, I did it to improve the stance, my rear was only about 1/2" taller than the front. So the 2.5/3 gave me a total of 1" rake and a little more agressive look. The 295/70R18s will fit fine on stock suspension and wheels without any modifications. I have a picture in my profile, but I will go out and take some more if you want different angles.
A side shot and a shot from the front and back showing how much they stick out in relation to the body would be great. I use the app and can't view your profile. I don't even remember my password for the site it's been so long.

Sorry it took awhile, the site was loading slow. You can see that the tires do not stick out at all. That is mostly due to the stock rim/offset and the fact that the tire is only 11.78" wide.
Thanks Hoss, that's exactly what I've been looking to see, correct color and everything! Great looking stance, I'll probably buy tires and run them on my stock wheel until I can afford/decide on the two wheels I've been looking at that are 9" wide with -12 offset. Is that the ready lift?
