Picked up this little guy today. It's a No.530 Coleman G.I. pocket stove A47
It seems in good condition and complete... stove with attached funnel on lanyard, storage case/cooking pots, wrench/pot handle, handbook owners manual (and not pictured, but in bottom of case pot, the flame disperser top disk)
Might be interesting to see the handbook a little closer. The 530 was the postwar civilian version, A47 is maybe a date code. Coleman of Wichita made over a million of the # 520 miltary issue model.
Ernie Pyle, the famous WWII correspondent ranked it as 2nd only to the Jeep in usefulness. I can believe that, the ability to brew coffee, heat up canned rations, and thaw yer feet out in a foxhole would put it squarely in the "highly prized" category.
Might be interesting to see the handbook a little closer.
The little handbook is 20 pages. When I get time, maybe I'll photocopy them all to fit on one or two pieces of paper and post it. Probably not many handbooks around yet with the stoves

I’ll have to get mine out and cleaned up. I think I posted it here in 2017. Edit. Post 657.
