I found this one online for 25 bucks Canadian. Almost brand new still in the original Box which I threw well
My truck is doing that rattling noise from the timing chain tensioner so I didn't wanna drive it had to go there on my bike 40 miles there and back. OK maybe was 30 some miles. Anyway that's why I couldnt cook anything better for dinner just tired. But I'm very pleased with this stove it Burns hot.
The old one is leaking so bad it would go boom when I lit it in the morning. But I still want to rebuild the generator so I have a backup
Seems to work much better than before after a pretty full service. Cleaning the generator on these is Risky Business, the cleaning needle itself is real tiny, and easily bent. Super small jets on these lanterns.
Wish I could get the vaporizer and assembly off the fount for cleaning the F/A tube, it does light instantly from a cold start - and everything seems like smooth sailing - but then it goes out after several several seconds no matter what kind of jiggery-pokery I try.
Once it is warmed up a bit it works well and burns steady, no pulsing, and bright. A little beat up, but it's 55 years old. I'm a little beat up too come to think of it.
The suggestion to seal the elbow with muffler repair cement works real slick. This kills sickly half burned fuel odors escaping. Throttles down nice, and would burn all night without pumping I'm sure. Maybe you lantern people aren't as weird as I thought!
Market finally opens, but my health didn't allow me to set up.
I did however go visit, found 2 gems. First is a Avon perfume bottle. I have several others, but none this big
Second was a tiny lantern. I have never seen one this small, so had to have it.
