The camper thread! Pulling, using, equipment, maintenance!
Here's the idea...
Did measuring I'd need 53 ft of deck in order to park jeep behind camper, and have a 8x8 deck on the tongue for the atvs...
Thoughts??

Do you mean Slideout Jack stands. I am trying to figure out if I actually need them. On another Forum I got hollered at a few time for using them. I dunno I don't like the TT rocking
I'm in the camp of the "DO NOT" use slide support jacks. If for whatever reason you had some sort situation where the trailer's main supports shifted and the TT settled a bit the slide jacks could do some major damage to your slide and main body. I had a tire go flat on the old TH while setup in a site which caused a certain amount of settling on that side, a slide support would have been an issue there.
Does your 338RETS have those horrible electric "stabilizers" or do you have the crank down scissor jacks? We ordered ours with the old school scissor jacks and I have plans on my to-do list of adding an additional set just forward of the front axle to take some of the frame bounce out.Even with the nice big I beam frames on these 338's the frame is soooo looong between the corner jacks that the frame still bounces on the spring a little, I'm counting on the extra set of jacks to tame that bounce.
I hate movement in the TT too but have knocked most of it out with the factory scissor jacks cranked down fairly tight, then retightened after a day. The small amount of bounce/shake/rocking we still have should be nearly eliminated by the extra set of jacks I think. If not I have thought about fabbing up a set of home brew "Strong Arm" type jack braces that should do the trick.
Everytime one of my son's turns over in their bunk on other side of trailer it wakes me up!
Anyone here have those? Also interested in the Bal stabilizing arm.

4 total 1 under the frame by the steps 1 directly across from the step and 1 ea under bumper and tounge. These take a lot of wiggle out of the frame. if it were up to my wife we would have a dozen jack under it to keep it sturdy

We use a set of the X chocks, they do work well and seem to help some with movement vs just wedge type wheel chocks, with the X chocks tightened up you for sure will not roll!
When my son and his buddies come along on trip they stay up late and I go to bed early (because I'm old and enjoy waking them up earlier than they want to be up!
) so we do get a good bit of movement from them being up and moving when we are laying in bed. Hopefully I can tame the remaining movement with my upcoming mods, of course they are all in college now too so we don't have them along on every trip like before.
WEZ3S have you had to get you Jayco serviced since you installed the HA? I am looking to get another Awning installed on the Slide and the Slide out covers just curious how the dealer would handle the Pro-pride. I tried looking for adapters but haven had much luck.
I am also thinking a hydra but not sure if I can run that and the CTS at the same time. I cant get rid of the CTS the kids got it for me for christmas
No, it has not been back to the shop for anything (2+ years!
), I did have it at Camping World to have the slide toppers installed (took advantage of an excellent $35 to install anything special), but they did that job while I waited and it stayed hitched to my Ex the whole time. If I did have to take it in to the dealer then I would leave my stinger with them also and walk the Tech through how to couple it. I don't think that you will find much in the way of adapted to use in place of the PP stinger.
My only issues with the Jayco were that both LP pigtails were bad and the top small bulb gasket on the right side living room slide was torn. They replaced the pigtails with better quality ones that were longer (made my piggy back grill hookup work easier) and the dealer gave me a whole roll of the bulb gasket material (along with a main slide sweep gasket that was sent by Jayco due to a mix up on the warranty claim paperwork).
When we bought it the dealer had never worked with a Hensley hitch before, so instead of then messing it up they gave me use a service bay and shop tools to swap it over from our old TH to the new TT. Great dealer experience and they gave us a trade-in value that was equal to what we paid for the TH 3 years earlier.

We have kicked around the idea of a second awning on the slide also, if we do eventually go through with it I might do the install at home or see if Camping World does that install special again. Right after this trip I'm starting to work on a rear hitch install to carry a 2/4 bike rack or hitch basket.
Now that we are talking about it, I need to contact Jayco to see if I can get a copy of the build drawings for the TT. Supposedly they will supply the plans that show all framing locations, plumbing and wiring once the trailer is out of warranty.

If you are lucky enough to get the build plans, if possible I would like a set.
I tried to get some a while back but didnt have any luck. My TT was a preowned model and the drawing might help me locate the receiver for the remote for the slides. My remote has been missing for a long time

I have seen this adapter before just not sure of the rating.
I wonder how hard of an install it would be on the slide toppers and the awning. Kinda nervous bout drilling into the camper. But guess it couldn't be to bad that duct tape and glue couldn't fix. Have you ever checked out the Jayco owners forum? There is some good mods for us in the Modification section.
