Stop talking about beer and hoagies when I'm at work!

Well I just got that stuff! It is amazing how much more I drink, trying to keep my sanity with a 3 and 4yr old fighting in a camper! I should have went camping last weekend, as it was beautiful, When I could have sent them (The kids) on hunts through the trees. It is supposed to rain this weekend.

I'm taking mine out next weekend. No beer in my camper though, diet Dew and Lord Calvert.

Kids are not bad at all. One is two, and one is 4 days old. Lol

I still have to finish the floor in the front of mine before I can use it. Good thing I have a month and a half!

Floor is done, aluminum siding back on, everything sealed up, ready to camp!

While it wasn't a horrible job I do not ever want to replace floor in a camper again unless I get a fixer upper and tear EVERYTHING out and start from scratch.

I am curious now though, are the fiberglass sided campers better for keeping water out and stuff than the aluminum sided campers?

How about those airstreams? Are they even better yet as far as build quality and moister resistance?

I've heard the fiber glass ones are more likely to leak than aluminum sided. The seams tend to split due to that's the only place there it flex. On the aluminum, the siding itself will flex. As far as the bottoms, I think they are the same both fiberglass and aluminum sided ones.

No idea on the airstreams.

Our old camper was fiberglass and it was a constant battle to keep water out. We finally traded it in but it was a mess.

My favorite daughter called (I only have one) she is visiting over Memorial Day and our Family camping tradition will continue another year. My favorite son (her only brother) will also join us per our tradition. Life is awesome.

Hate to say it Russ, but the more they get pulled around, like used in different spots all the time, the more chance of a leak. If it's used like a lake cabin/parked in one spot for the season, than pulled to storage, it's less likely to spring a leak.
