Fully loaded (camper, gear and people) I was still in the safe zone with the 150, but just. I knew the Ex with that 7.3 would be awesome but it was a totally different world. Just another reason to love the Ex.

Well we took out our trailer for the first time pulling it with the "Sherpa". It was more fun than towing it with our Tahoe. On the way back I stopped and got the hitch set closer to right and then it towed even better.

So my lights inside the camper are 1156's. I want to install led's and I see on ebay you can get anywhere between 5 to 100 smd's for the same price it seems. Are the smd led's the super bright ones or are there better yet? Which ones do you get for interior TT lighting?

Thanks for the pics! Are those strips one continuous light or are they little blocks next to each other?

I don't mind rewiring my lights if I get some led's I know are up to the task.

It's hard to see, but it looks to me like there are a bunch of little individual lights in there.

Looks to me to be about 16 total.

Looks like you have the WIDE BODY camper there Dave!
What the hell is that all about? Does it do that only when moving (air pressure related) or is the siding just bulged out or comming loose? Still under warranty?

We had a successful first trip this year! The new rear sway bar helped stabilize the X pretty well around corners and such. Even with pretty gusty side winds and such the train handled quite well.

Lots of smores were eaten and fish caught! Good times as always!

Talking

Dragged the camper trailer to the homestead to do a thorough cleaning inside after the last trip and to repair a small seeping in the fresh water tank.

Ordered a new tank because I could not find the source of the leak (man vision according to my wife...I can see a quail in my peripheral about 35 yards to my left, but can't find the mustard in the refrigerator).

Trying to get the old tank out, one effin' wire would not dislodge, so I thought just cut the wire and splice the new tank wire. Set the new tank on top and it was the correct size but the connections were on the wrong side.

I begin to remove the tank here is a tip:

Mark which color wire with a sharpie for re-installation see pic.

Upshot- I received the wrong tank, correct size, but connections on wrong side see pic of new tank on old tank.

Result: the drain was completely gone. The hose and outside valve gone and the tank worked it's way out of the retainers on the floor.

Solution: attach drain tubing, using clamps with valve and mount a bracket on the bench seat to prevent the tank from repositioning in the future. I also added clamps to all other tubing that did not have clamps and repositioned clamps for future removal.

Once again a 90 minute job takes 4 hours with travel to the hardware store. But it's better now than before.

Used a Sharpie to mark which color wire to the correct post. Missing drain tube center.

Correct size tank but they placed the connections on the wrong facet. 90° in either direction would have worked.

Drain tube in place.

Clamped hoses that were not clamped and clamped others in a friendly method (I can get to them).

Outside valve and tube was completely gone, probably because it was not clamped. Replacement on right.
