hooked up the coil filled it with oil shot a little oil the best i could into the cylinders hooked up the plug wires and it fired. Little smokey at the moment and i can't decide if its got a knock or not since i have the exhaust unhooked so its hard for me to tell but it did fire up. so wooohoo
thats good cerp..it will smoke for awhile till it burns the oil out of the cylinder's.. now you need to be sure you got all the bolts in tight everything hooked up correctly and full of oil and coolant..it shouldnt knock ran very quiet in the other truck..may take a bit to get the lifters pumped up,air worked out of the p/s and maybe a bit of tuning...you should be driving tonite..now get back to work..
Woo Hoo, Cerp! Way to go. Now put the bell housing bolts in, get the exhaust lined up and bolted together, and finish everything else up!
I may swing by to pick up the old parts for Whiskey. I'm not sure yet, though. Just try to keep them dry. ...I should've grabbed them when I had the chance.
did get much more done today since it started to rain did get the fan and belt back on it fired it up to make sure everything worked right and knock i was hearing was all but gone so i guess i was just imagining it plus like i said the exhaust is still disconnected so its hard to tell anyways. If you get a free moment earthquake you could always take a look at it and make sure i got the timing right and everything on it and i bagged the old block up pretty good to keep the rain out of it. We did make one goof my valve covers need to be reversed on the blazer they were on opposite sides and i did think about it while the engine was out and they were easy to get to.

I wasn't as productive as others, BUT Tim and I had a good day together. We made it out to Bass Pro and killed some time. Got us some new Crappie jigs, weights, bobbers, etc....... Went by AutoZone (by the way is usually full of idiots) and got the CORRECT radious arm bushings and oil change for Ka'Bluey.
Allen hollar when/if you make it out to Cerps place, and don't mind a tag along, or if Tim wants to come out too, and if you don't have room we'll just fallow. Ka'Bluey is grounded untill we get the oil, and radious arm bushing done.
Rich get over that jet lag, pick them feet up yell "UNK BOB"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and we'll get you going again!
Y'all have a safe great evening!
Unk Bob
