Yeah, we both had fun yesterday. I hope she sticks with it. I think after she sees a pretty hotrod engine sitting in the corner, she'll be motivated to keep going.
Cerp, there's a ball in the gear box that gets stuck sometimes. That's probably what happened. If it does it again, you may need to locate a gearbox, but I would let it go for now to see what happens. It's happened a couple times to me over the years. I've never had it happen more than once or twice.
As far as the "dark side", all of the hotrods are Chevys. I just happen to think Ford trucks are better. I really don't have a preference when it comes to cars. I'll work on anything. If she said she wanted an AMC pacer, I would find one to build for her. I'm overjoyed she has an interest in the cars. My middle daughter said she was just going to save on her own and buy a car. Fine. You have two choices in this house. Build it and get financial help, or buy it with your own money. The youngest is only 7, so she has plenty of time to figure out what she wants to do.
hope all goes well with her earthquake..i sure do envy ya..my kids and grand-kids could care less bout all these old cars i have...i tried to give them one of their choice to build.. my 40's 50's & 60's cars are not new enough for them i guess..or maybe it was the "to build" part..ha ha ha ha
I'm with Ches..... You want to adopt, since the "younger generation" isn't into those "older cars/trucks".... If you don't mind a hobbling 47 year old.... With his own tools! Adopt ME

Well today I get to go to the Social Security office in Springfield. The insurance company that I got my disability policy is "making" me file for social security, disability, so I can get out of their pockets.... I'm not sure what to expect in this place, really not looking forward to this at all. Still haven't done anything to Ka'Bluey, he's in the same spot he's been in since the pressure washing last week. BUT the sun is supposed to come out today. Really need to start doing something to em'. Hope everybody has a safe, good day!

My son would be in hog heaven but he's grown up around hotrods.
#2500 post on FTE, been a long time since Feb 2007 when I quite stalking and joined. Thanks for all the support from my Missouri chapter brothers and all FTE'ers out there.
And I think most of them are tech answers and such except for the BS slung on here,
keep up the advice, support and free counseling.
Congratulations on such a monumentous feat. Just think if you were home as much as you're away working, your post count would barely break into the 1000 range probably since you'd be able to actually work on your dents.
something wierd with my power steering. ..... As I was pulling out i tried reving the engine up a little and it helped a little then going down the road it just randomly all came back. Any ideas?
