Lee, rearend noise, bearings or worse?
Happy birthday Terry and tell the Mrs congrats also.
Dave, hang in there and have a plan before you tear into it.
Pat, as long as its not leaking in the floor, should be on till summer?
Eq68, at least you are working, pace yourself. LOL at the location.....
Ok all take it easy, ya bunch of workaholics.
Rich, SO FAR the floor seems to be staying dry. IF this weather would hold, I'd bypass it & worry about getting it out later. You ever get a definite return date or still "Maybe"?
i bet rich. penny is going to be all over ya.
see terry you screwed the pooch on that one.
i know i miss my wife and i've only been gone a week. by december she is going to be fit to be tied. and i'm going to miss her b-day and our anniversary too.
pinto..what kind of paint ya selling? i will need a few gallons soon.. i have a set of clutch head drivers if i am not too far away..well i guess its back to sanding and removing the bumpers and grill today, got one airline to replace too..am thinking of switching power generators also..i have a propane i think would be better than carrying gasoline for the on it now...well better get after it see ya'll later
My store don't mix paint. But they want some of the parts guys at the non pant stores to have so kinda idea whats going on. So it was a paint 101 class on Nason.
Yeah Rich i think it's coming from the rear axle, not sure though.
I went to the mechanic today after work. Wouldn't you know it, the noise stopped on the way there, so he couldn't hear it. He drove it around, then jacked it up and checked the axle bearings, etc.
No noise at all. Didn't even make the noise on the way home.
This noise has been bugging me for at least a month. Then all of a sudden it's gone.
Oh well.
I'm still going to put my new shocks on and overload springs and get a new tailshaft seal and put that in too.
The tires I want are over 100.00 a piece so I have to wait a bit , but I need to get them before the 15th that's when they go up in price. They had a set of Dodge wheels that I have wanted for my 92, so we tried one of them on today, but the center hole is too small and the offset is 2 inches off, meaning the wheels will set in too far.
I have a number for some Ford wheels in Forsyth, I'm going to call about tomorrow.
I hope the center holes in those wheels off your Dodge aren't too small. or if they are and it's not by too much I'll just take my big die grinder to them.
had some crazy blue hair whip out in front of me after she almost whipped out in front of my woman after we picked up the blazer (royally screwed on that deal but i can still fix it) couldn't stop in time so i down shifted and nailed the throttle to get around her in the turn lane on republic rd and all of sudden my windshield is soaked in coolant...split the bejesus out of a heater hose no clue how since my hoses were all new.
a suposedly burnt valve turned into something like this on the way home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRIXKEFMtvM not our blazer but same noises even the squel makes horrible power now and will shut off if you rev it and let off
