Bleed it again, but it sounds like new m/s time. Don't forget to bench bleed the new one first.
You can always go with remote air intake like on newer FI vehicles. I happen to have a kit that could be made to work? Its a relocated air intake tub kit, like a cold air kit, I was going to use it on ol Red.
Not to sure if I will be home longer or not, probably not with my luck.
so i am getting ready to finally do my clutch in my truck and was wondering if anyone that is close to republic would care to help me out since all i have messed with were autos. Also i was wondering if anyone would mind loaning me a trans jack since mine busted on the last auto trans i did and damn near killed me.
I understand how "My Luck" goes, believe me I do.
Well I did get Ka'Bluey power washed, most of the mud is gone, but he still needs a regular bath.
Did notice after getting the radiator cleaned out (looked like a cardboard box, with all the mud) truck blasted, underneeth looking better that somewhere playing last weekend I blew out both rear, radious arm bushings....... They were there before, and bushings looked good. Gotta remember I've rebuilt suspensions for the last nearly 10 years... And and Alignment Specialist.... Finally a job title!
SO now there's something else to do.....
Unk Bob
some of the crap people try to sell amazes me. Went to a dealer in aurora to look at a dodge neon with 130k miles on. Got there car drove good then i noticed the instruments go bonkers if you use the right signal dumps oil out of the back side of the engine one of he hoses under the hood is a section of garden hose radiator leaks out the seam the working ac blows warm and the speedo doesn't even work guy wanted almost 1 grand for it....alright i'm done bitching now
Well if it's not raining Saturday. I'm going to install my new overload springs, shocks and maybe get some new tires, if I can afford them. I also have to find out what is causing this very odd noise that I think is coming from the rear axle.
Remodeling time huh? Yea I am bummed about it, I am tired of being over here.
Yeah, the bathroom has finally hit the point that something had to be done. It needed help when we bought the place 12 years ago, but the kids were still little and didn't complain too much so we lived with it.
Thanks Ches. I figured it did, must've misread the earlier post. Glad you set me straight. I'd have been one VERY unhappy camper if I had tried to do it that way. Still thinking it sounds like a summer project.
Wow, I feel like I'm getting left behind. I spend most of my day at the new job, so I don't get on here much anymore. I guess that's good. This was supposed to be a part time gig, but it sure feels like full time to me. 0900-1730 or 1800 every day. Oh, sorry. 9:00 AM to 5:30 or 6:00 PM everyday. I had a "half day" today. I only worked six hours. I need to look at these guys' clock. It must look different than mine.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just saying. I told them I was broke. (physically) and couldn't go under a full head of steam for very long. Today I started getting those sharp shooting pains down my leg. I'm in the middle of two major engine rebuilds and don't really want to take a break because I can't walk. These guys are neck deep in what I gather is a new auto wholesale business. They had work piled up because the guy they hired before me didn't want to work at all. As soon as I get caught up, it should get easier. Either that, or I'll get my wheelchair sooner than I expected.
Ok, carry on. I'm done complaining now.
........at least they pay REALLY WELL. I can't complain about that at all! Another good thing, these guys are pretty cool to work with. They don't want to go nuts spending money to fix a car, but they don't rig things and cut corners either. Rarely seen in today's used car companies.
Lee, rearend noise, bearings or worse?
Happy birthday Terry and tell the Mrs congrats also.
Dave, hang in there and have a plan before you tear into it.
Pat, as long as its not leaking in the floor, should be on till summer?
Eq68, at least you are working, pace yourself. LOL at the location.....
going to look at a blazer tomorrow with supposedly a burnt valve. No smoke and only a occasional miss so I am not sure. The guy works at a dealership and says he had it checked out by a mechanic and thats what they said was wrong so i don't know. I figure for the price if i can fix it cheap it should be fine for the woman drive since she's anti ford anyways. Body looks to be in excellent shape on the blazer so thats a plus.
