I used to deliver the local paper after school...110 papers...M-S every week...did it for 5 years...never missed a day. Mine was baseball fields.

My girlfriend had the only paper route, 'small town', I had to settle for mowing and the hay field, a $1.00 an hour and I was damn happy to get it.

Ahh, the pushing of the lawn mower $10 a week and walking behind the weed mower doing fence rows for a litter of pigs a year. Bought my first car with that stuff. $400. Next one was $2400 those were the days ! No worries !

my local paper i read for 60 years has been pushing on line readership.
their excuse for raising the price of the daily paper is not enough readers.
it has gone from 20 cents a day 5 years ago to $2.00 per day.
5 years ago average paper was 40 pages. now it is 5 pages.
