I think I’m gonna try this for now. It’s tucked in there. I think the ABS panel will cover it. I will just have to cut a slot for the belt to come through.
I'm not sure that I'd rely on that as a good anchor point, plus there only looks as though there is one spot weld holding the brace to the post. I thick you'd be better anchoring it through the floor with the heavy flat washers that come in the kits or make a washer or use a piece of flat bar on the underside of the cab floor....

Slow going. Painted the inside of the cab with POR 15 and laid down some sound deadener. Need to order another box to finish. What a difference this stuff makes.
Slowly progressing. Took a week off to go to Germany and then a long weekend to go ice fishing. Back at it when I can.
Fitting the carpet, and all the other interior stuff trying to put it all back together now. Need to find some door sill plate to hold the carpet edge down. maybe something around the pedals at the carpet to make it look nicer. And I’d like to get new pedal pads.
Waiting to hear back from ACC about the driver floor mat as it doesn’t fit.
My parents finally made it back from Arizona and they drop back with them my rod doors, headliner, and back panel, and Sew Cal rods door and kick panels
Does anyone have any tips on installing this back panel? I’ve been fighting with it for a while now and I can’t seem to get it to go in. And these clips that are melted onto the back a break very easily.
should I be trimming the carpet here? I don’t know if that’s gonna make a difference, but I trimmed it on both sides maybe a little bit.

Nice looking door panels, are the plain ABS panels any better priced than their upholstered panels..?
Yeah there’s a big difference in price from plain to upholstered. Even just playing ABS they’re still fairly expensive compared to Rod doors, but they’re completely different style and they have a built-in grab handle which I kind of wanted.
I went back through your thread again, John and you used Rod doors for your back panel and it looks like it fits a lot better than mine does in the pictures that you’ve posted. Did you have trim very much? It’s almost like the center section is a touch too wide. I finally got it to go in, but it doesn’t seem to fit as nicely as yours does.
