AC condensor is designed for cooling gas. trans cooler is designed for cooling liquid.

I have 3/8s line running to the cooler. I am not running through the radiator. I have had a "real" tranny cooler on it before, made by hayden. But the transmission got bad hot with it too.

The radiator is completely clean and free of debris, its less than a year old. I flushed the condenser and its clean on the outside as well, the fins are straight. It also puts off a lot of heat. Making it harder for my motor to cool off. What if moved the tranny cooler to the bed and put a couple of electric fans on it? It was always my understanding that C6s were hard to keep cool.

Don't know if this is significant, but when it was getting hot, it was roughly 75 degrees outside.

3500 stall and I have NEVER had a C6 cooling issue....even after 10-12 passes

Something is wrong with either your tranny or the setup.

Has anyone heard of swapping in a master cylinder from like a 2000 model excursion or f 250? I noticed they have a bore of 1-3/8" where as the 79-97s have a 1-1/16" bore.

idk if the abs crap matters or not as to how the m/c's function. if not then i'd say try it, but find out if its an issue or not first.

may be easier and cheaper to just go with a 79 f350 4x4 dual caliper piston m/c.

Yea, I just noticed that they weren't much different than the 1/2 ton. Do you think it would give a substantial increase in pedal feel?

I *think* the ABS stuff is post MC in that box on the frame rail, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

don't know about pedal feel, but it will move more fluid. do you have disk's on the rear? if so, you now need to move more fluid to get the same braking as you did with drums. least that's what i've always heard. upsize you m/c when going to rear disks. plus you may have had a single piston caliper m/c to begin with.

Yea, that's why I wanted to go with the biggest bore I could find. I may attempt to fit the 2000 model master cylinder, cause it is made for 4 wheel disc brakes.

on my old 90 F250, i put a 90 superduty MC on it because the piston bore was a lot larger. it made a world of difference in the stopping power, and pedal effort needed to stop.
the 90 F-Superduty M/C has either a 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 bore compaired to the stock F250 m/c with a 1 3/8 bore i think it is
