That is pretty nice! What did you do to the motor while it was apart? Just freshen it up, or any tasty mods?
Have you had a chance to run the C6 much since you got the coolers/fans installed? I'm curious because I know the C6's are sometimes power-hungry, but that's pretty crazy about the coolers not keeping it under control. I've got a pair of 12"x8" transmission coolers, I was planning on putting both in front of the radiator where the AC compressor was. One will cool the transmission (instead of going through the radiator!) and the other will (eventually) do the power steering. I'm not really expecting the power steering to need that much cooling, but having a ton of extra capacity in the system never hurt anyone either!
Have you ever put a gauge on the transmission to see how hot the temperatures are actually getting?
I had the motor bored .60 over, and the crank turned. I put a 4x4 xtreme comp cam lifters and chain in it, new valves, stealth intake, 675 Holley truck avenger, And msd 6al with the stock dizzy.
My C6 was over heating because of a busted stator support, I haven't driven it since I last rebuilt it, but I'm hoping that the problem is solved now.
When I was having trouble with my transmission I just used an infrared thermoter to check the temperature.
