well, last night i finished getting the cab wiring in the dually. i need to extend part of the harness to reach to the third brakelight, so i figured while i was in the headliner i would add a dome/map light to the back seat. the good news is that the harness from the 97 works with the chassis wiring from the 92... tail lights, fuel selector/gauge,etc... one less thing to worry about.so as of now everything works , except the stupid radio wont come on now. i do have to tap into the harness to get the rear door locks to work, but that will be easy. i should have the IDI out saturday, and then its powerstroke time.
i knew about your swap, but i always thought you were done. you definitaly have more work. BTW, do you know if the frame wiring for the rear is the same?tail lights, fuelvalve, fuel gauge, etc...
Wiring will be the same for the tail lights and rear end! Thats the good news!
No kidding! LOL! Well an extra hand cant be turned down! LOL!
I got out there today, made some great progress! I have been in the CAB working on this part (dash, electrical) and got the very last of the "gasser" related items out, including that inertia shut off switch! LOL! Got the diesel pedal installed.
I also pulled out the heater box assembly that is also the radio frame. Found an interesting part behind it, some sort of a computer box, and its labelled "Dually Only".. I will post some pics, and get some thoughts on it!
looks like alot of work but my son wants to do a 95 DI swap to his 91 F 350.Where in AZ do you live I live in Buckeye would like to come by and check it out if you dont mind.

I dont know what each persons idea is of what "alot of work" is, but I didnt have too much difficulty with the diesel swap part, as much as I did the 4-wheel drive add on, even then I was impressed with how it went together!
Not a problem for the check out.. I am in the sticks between Surprise and Wittman! Let me know!
Ok.. Fair enough then! Now I know what goes into the recylcing can, and what goes back on! After fussing with the fuel pump intertia switch and wiring, I was done for the evening! LOL!
Now here is a fun question for you, since it sounds like you are right along with me at the same stage....
HVAC lines.. Several colored tubes that run from the switch assembly to the heater box.. For a heater box with AC, how many of those colored tubes should there be?

the worst part of mine was... extending the wiring and fuel lines for the extra length of the cab. the rest was a swap in from the doner truck. thankfully i didnt take on a project like Dually. there are so many tiny little differences between trucks that you dont think about, even down to the wiper motor
