Yeah Troy, I got the itch bad. I finally talked the wife into a vacation at the end of the month, or work finally got to be enough. She is a nurse and it can be very hectic some days. Just sitting on the computer and planning a trip tonight. Can not decide between the Grand Canyon, Blue Ridge Parkway or ? Any suggestions.
This time of the year it is questionable if not far enough south.
Yeah David I am hoping for some sun too but it looks like it might be awhile.
Jay my wife is wanting to go camping pretty bad too. The mn fte one is the first one were going on so far this year.
I dont know how far you want to go Lee but I went to Key West back in '02 about this time of the year and it was a blast. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
If you are looking for warm I doubt the Grand Canyon would be the right place to go. Even Phoenix is pretty cool right now. I think the Caribbean is a good idea.
Well Jay, I will not let you talk to my wife. She would love to do that, but I will be towing the 5er to wherever we go. Carribean might get a little expensive to get it there.
Yeah Troy, Key West sounds great, but that would be a real haul. (Remember the V10 $) Right now leaning twoards the Grand Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands & Zion. It may be only in the 50-60 temp, but I like that better than 100. We did Yellowstone last year in mid May. That was interesting. You should see all the southerners panic in a few inches of slushy snow. I have been to Yellowstone five times before, and that was the best. Colder temps keeps the riff raff out (Rental RVers)
Yeah Lee I supose that would be a long haul with the 5ver. Not much room down there for all that. If I were to go again I would just take the truck. Out west there sounds like fun. I use to drive truck over the road and have been all over out there and that is some beautiful country!
I am glad the road salt is getting washed away though so I don't mind the rain for a few days. I am really getting the itch to get the bike out.
Good morning by the way.
I love traveling and camping. We have been to Yellowstone camping, Yosemite but not camping there, Grand Canyon but no camping, Estes Park in Colorado camping twice. That is all so beautiful out there.
We have not seen our fearless leader since the thread was started. Must be doing some "topside work" somewhere. Bwahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahhahhahhhaaaaaaaa!
Good morning Troy and Jay. I'm liking that the road salt is getting washed off, although normally I'd like sunshine. Getting the urge to unleash the beasts in hibernation now.
