Steve, I think your computer tip helped. It is a slow computer anyway but seems better.

And good morning Troy.
Morning Jay, your welcome, now go download a program called CCleaner, it will clean out all your dead registry files and temp files.

The other programs are good too, plus they are free and they work.

Piriform - Download

I work at a computer mostly all day, so I'm usually always around, except for meetings and when people have problems that can't be fixed remotely.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement but I havent heard of a single Tacoma with issues so lets all cross out fingers. I do have one lil boy with her but i think that it's only a matter of time before he ends up with me. maybe with him I've found something that lasts longer than a powerstroke

Hey Steve. I do actually have the cookie cleaner program loaded but I forget to use it regularily.

Having a child is something I missed out on with my wife Miles. She already had two kids and at one time I did not want any. When we both decided we wanted one together it never happened. My one main regret in life...

When I am up for a new phone I think I may go the Crackberry route although I have internet on my current phone and never use it.

No experience with the scanguage either

Jay the cookies are only part of it, the temps files and unused dll's and registry entries no longer being used can bog the system down too, especially older machines!

it should improve somewhat if you keep up with the clean ups, if it's used alot and left on it builds alot of temp files and it needs to be booted every once and a while too!

Well Steve, If you are offering free computer advice, than, does going into the control panel and internet options and deleting temp files and cookies do the same thing?

Another thing for everyone to watch out for I caught a virus on Tuesday night. My anti virus tried to warn me and asked if I wanted to allow win security central to have acces to download. Well it was not a windows update it was a virus. Watch Out.

Thanks for the heads up Lee.

And thanks for that other link Steve. Do you use the other items they offer? Any thoughts on the basic paid version of AVG?

Not everything is cleaned out, you still have windows temp files, and other programs create temp files also!

AVG is good, I like it because it doesn't pickup my hacking tools as viruses like Symantec and McAfee does!
