Yesterday I cut out the old rusty exhaust pipe and removed headers. This morning I installed my old exhaust manifolds and started cutting, welding, and fabbing up my fresh exhaust with a Flowma
It got a little messy using flux core wire in my mig. But, no leaks and she's all solid.
Turned out nice What did you use for a Y-pipe and on what motor?
Edit: I see now 351M motor.
I've added a picture of the sidetrim - dent trim. This is what I need and miss....
Henk de Boer that trim in that pic is referred to as "thin trim" or (mouldings w/o vinyl insert) and any of it is almost next to IMPOSSIBLE to find, let alone a complete set. And it is NOT reproduced by anyone. In fact is is somewhat of a rare option in the dent side world, not a lot of trucks have it. It also takes different mount tabs.

Not so good to hear this is a rare part....but it gives clarity. Thank you. I thought most of the F150 have this trim......
Not so good to hear that it's close to impossible to find, but great to have some clarity. Thanx. I thought most of the pickup's have this dent trim.
I picked up today a copy of a genuine folder from the dealer back in 1977! Very pretty stuff!
This truck has a dent trim and supercab also from 1977

that's the wide trim... If you look at the pic of the light blue pickup above, it has the narrow trim. The wide trim has the black rubber insert running right down the middle and the other doesn't. 77&79250 was saying that the narrow trim is very hard to find. LMC and the others definitely have the wide trim and mounting hardware. I just bought mounting hardware for my wide trim from LMC..... Wasn't cheap for a bunch of plastic clips.
4-7-21 left Wyoming and on 4-8-21 arrived in Michigan. M-I-L, wife, 5 month black lab puppy and me. Surprised a few people when doing 88-90mph with the old 79 scab. Love the comments at the fuel stops. Today rested 4-9, tomorrow on the road again.
Great inspiration here! Love to see what you all did.
I was looking on this forum what you did to protect the bed. Especially when it is an old truck. Do you spray, roll-on, drop-in or do nothing?? What is best to do? Keep it original or protect it?

I have used Herculiner roll-on, Rustoleum roll-on, and paid for Linex. DO NOT USE RUSTOLEUM!! I spent two full days sanding, grinding, priming, and scuffing for the Rustoleum. That crap started flaking off less than a week later. I prepped the same way inside the cab for the Herculiner. That stuff is holding on strong for a DIY roll-on liner. I took my new truck to get the Linex sprayed on. I recommend that. I didn't have to do anything but drop off the truck and pick it up three hours later. Linex isn't as thick as I thought, but still good stuff.
