What Have YOU Done To Your Truck Today?
Got the 42 gallon Aero fuel tank with skid plate installed today. Also mounted the in-tank fuel pump and sending unit.
42 gallon Aero fuel tank with skid plate
Sending unit is located close to the bed rail but it does clear after dropping 3/8” down.
3/8” shim to lower tank to clear the bed cross member.
One more thing to mark off the list. That’s a Holley 12-132 in tank retro-fit fuel pump.

351 into 400. Have a forum member selling me a crank in bout 6 weeks have my hands on it. Then to machine shop. Then order some tims pistons and few other goodies. Reassemble with new cam kit clutch etc. .....thats the plan anyway.
I basically got a 150 amp battery power isolator so the alternator charges both batteries. The reason I got the solenoid was simply to run it to a switch inside the cab in order to disable the winch if needed.
Battery 1 - ground to frame, positive to one side of the isolator
Battery 2 - ground to frame, positive to the other side of the isolator
Alternator - 150 amp 1 wire that goes to the middle post of the isolator
you would hook the solenoid in line with the winch and the positive side of the isolator
I can draw this up if you like,

Kinda of another one
Kinda added a 79 bronco to my other 79 bronco and wifes 79 supercab. I say kinda. Bought the complete bronco from the jy but no title. I get to keep ALL the parts I want to take off but can not keep the frame. Body is rough but not as rough as my blue bronco.
Free wheeling package
All the glass is good. No chips/cracks in the front wind screen.

And DANG, - Is that normal rot for WY? My truck came from Casper WY area and is rock solid.
Rot
Rot... No this is not common. Not sure why this one is so bad. Will get more pics when off work and the wind dies down.
77 F-150, 4x4 W/400. Removed oil pan this morning. Complete drive train removed, NP 205 transfer case, RB 435 transmission, crossmember, clutch, bellhousing, flywheel and backing plate, Clear view provided to the back of oil pan. Rear oil pan rubber seal was deformed causing a slight leak. Changed rear main seal ~ three years ago and new oil pan gasket with driveline still intact. With the backing plate and bellhousing installed, prevents good visual of rear oil pan seal. Even with all the driveline components removed, I removed the oil pan three times because I could see the rear oil pan seal moving out of it's recessed grove as I started to snug the corner pan bolts. When I started The third time, a neighborhood 16 year young guy came buy (he doesn't have a father, I first met him when he was five, so I've tried to be positive influence on him). He asked me if I needed help, I said sure do and showed him to watch the front oil pan seal as we lifted the oil pan straight up, not move it forward or aft to get proper placement, to prevent to seals (rubber gaskets) from moving. Prepped the block, and oil pan matting surfaces and used a little permatex aviation sealant on the block and pan's matting surface, worked great enabling cork gasket to stick to the block. Let a long lunch time pass, then added six quarts of 15W40 oil, 4 ounces of Essential Lube and 4 ounces of Zinc additive.
Painted bellhousing and clutch fork, then called it a day.
Tomorrow, change Transmission's input shaft seal, W/two new gaskets, mount backing plate, flywheel, new LUK clutch and bellhousing, (barring no unexpected interruptions or wife's rudder order changes). Overall a nice and enjoyable day, only hit my knee once on the radius arm while on the creeper.
