Unfortunately I couldn't keep the stripe. The body on this truck was wasted. This is where it sits now. Still need to do a few things wheels, tires, paint, and I want to find a minute mount plow.

Wow! nice red dually! how did you perform that transformation of that paint? It looks like it was faded. Or was it just dirty?
It was a good combination of both. I'm a real big fan of Mother's products. Used hard compound wax all the way to a fine polish. Really made her shine nice and deep. The wheels were in nice shape, just dull. So I used Mother's aluminum polish with fleece (terry cloth scratches the wheels more then polish them). Just lots and lots of elbow grease. The hood and the roof are too far gone, however that gives me an accuses to do some bodywork and give her a full new coat ;-)
That shiny red dually, I just gotta ask, is it lowered any? My dually has 4" gaps between the treat of the tires and lips of front fenders, and this dually is obviously sitting much lower, maybe at 2" gap?
Shes in rough shape, and I've took off the box since this pic and am making a custom flatbed for it plus reconditioning it, but here she is

Nope, not lowered any. It's 2wd and running 235/85/r16's.
Well, the odd thing is, my dually is a 2wd too, and I used to run the same size tires as you (now 265/75-16s, which is same diameter but wider), but it always sat pretty high...

Hmmm, well I'm not to sure on that one. My only thought would be maybe the weight difference between a reg cab and a cc (but thats my only guess, all running gear seems to be stock). Question though...what tires (brand and such) do you run? And how are your clearances, any spacers? My duals are about ready for new treads and the fronts don't have too much longer, so I was going to replace the lot. I was considering 265/75's but wasn't to sure on the fitment. Any insight would be GREAT.
I got some cheap 265s in the front (Americus brand made by who knows which big company), they are load range E rated at 3400 lbs when used as singles, and are highway-friendly tread, not quite as wide as they should be tho, but hold the road pretty good. In the rear I still run 235s, tho different pairs one being some old Firestones, no spacers between wheels, altho clearance is a bit too close for my liking - they don't touch tho, just get close. I wanna get the rears replaced soon, but I want some A/T tires as this truck goes in wet fields and also though snow drifts, but I don't think I'll have the cash this winter season... and if I do, I'll still go with 235s.
