Well I see that on the truck one of the dully marker lights is out and I hate a light thats out so we go to the auto parts store and get a light so I open the wheel well to get to it and a wire is broken So I tried to tape it back together and it won't stay together
And thats where I am now.
Jim thanks again for the tip for the flight web-sight we scored 2 flights for $100 each
I'm glad that it worked out for you Nick. That was a good price on the tickets.

Or is it not that simple?
That is called a butt splice or barrell crimp depending on where you are.

Good luck with the new ride Caleb. Try and see if he'll drop down to $300 you never know.
I call them butt connectors. In your case Nick, I'd use a heat shrinkable butt connector.
That's what I thought they were called. Typically when I'm unsure of what term to use I google it, but I was kind of afraid to google butt connector...
And on that note I'm gonna go sleep. I'm getting dragged to the land of Spoon and Joe. Canada. And Maine.
See you guys in 3 days. Should be interesting... Forecast is 100% rain for the whole time we'll be there. Can't you tell I'm thrilled about it...

I call them a problem waiting to happen.Solder and shrink tube is much better. If you must have a connector use a piece of copper tubing soldered in
I never use crimp connectors or terminals, even wires twisted together are better
the last winter I spent in NH we got 100 inches of snow...with 4 feet being the average depth all winter! It wasnt a particularly cold witer,,, just didnt get no thaws

Yeah, solder and heat shrink is the ideal repair. But for me, at work, time is money. Heat shrinkable butt connectors with a good pair of crimping pliers get the job done.
The best repair would be to replace the light, and the pigtail all the way to the harness plug.
