Pete, one thing i thought of, is when your using it, since its brand new, have you been letting it warm up for a good amount of time before you use it?

Probably 5 or 10 minutes of warmup before use.
Same way I've treated the MS460, BR600, KM110, etc. since new and they all run like champs.
See if you can choke the hell out of it and gas foul the plug. The later Stihls have had a problem with the reed plate and won't draw gas to the cylinder
You said you often work road construction. What would you like to be doing?
I'd like to get back into Commercial Building, typically work 40 hours/wk and a few Saturdays when needed. Problem is, the market is so flooded right now with workers and not much work, it's hard(almost impossible) to get in anywhere. Plus, if you get in, you're still probably low on the totem pole, which means you're usually the first to go when it gets slow.
Road construction is way different, work up to 70(and sometimes over) hours a week and most Saturdays through the summer. Pay is about $3.50/hour less too. They say you make up the difference in pay with all the hours you work, but that is my problem with it, it usually doesn't work out that way.
Overall though, still don't know what I want to do when I grow up, but I'd better decide pretty soon.
When I was cutting trees, our small saws were always a$99 poulan...they ran great, had good power to weight ratio and if you dropped it 50 feet to the ground...you werent out $400...we usually got a good year out of each saw.
I had a 5.0 cu in Echo with an 18 inch blade that I cut firewood with...good power!
The Boss had a 7.5 cu in Husky with a 36 inch blade for flush cutting the stumps and 2 stihls with 18 inch blades for general work.
I also worked for davis tree service trimming powerlines...The chipper had hydraulic feed and would take up to a 12 in diameter log.... 300 Ford I6 motor....filled the box truck 4 times one day clearcutting...
Did anyone els get a error message while to to get onto FTE about 15 to 30 ago. I tried for about 5 min. and it told me the server had been interrupted and to try again.
