Coming back from lunch today, buddy and I are following a 7.3 CC short bed towing a little trailer. The trailer has a pallet of roofing shingles on it. The truck is lifted and no drop hitch in the receiver so the trailer is inlined up at an angle. We stop at a light and when the guy starts away from the light, the pallet of roofing shingles slides to the back of the trailer, as it's not tied down. We back off a little and as we are going down the road, the trailer starts to whip, side to side. We back way off just in time to see the trailer come around and take the SD right off the road and onto the dirt shoulder. Jack knifed the trailer and slammed it right up against the side of the truck.
Little 12' untility trailer, poorly loaded, poorly hitched to a nice truck driven by a guy with no skills.
Bad combination.
Holy crap. What a tard!
Well my interview went really well. Really cool company, great group of people. I want this job.
I feel like such a goon when I dress up...because its so NOT me.
Interview went really well. This is the first interview I've had where I actually wanted the job.
My "would-be" boss was a really neat guy, great sense of humor.
Plus the company only works half days on Fridays. Shaaaweeet!
I feel the same way when I have to put on a suit or tie.
I hope that you get the job. Did they give you any indication any way?

I wonder how Tristan is doing on his first day on the job.
I'm doing well. I just finished all the paper work up to get J-L backin school. We're thinking pizza and antipasto for dinner tonight. Next weekend oh yea steak fest!!!!!
I got a kit from Advanced Auto & got it all done in 90 minutes, then dropped her off for an alignment. Gotta have her going straight down the road since I'll be doing 4,000 miles over the next 2 weeks!
So y'all know, my trip back East will be to honor my father's wishes. What appeared to be great improvements are actually just reactionary responses of the body. My father is gone, but his body lingers, and that is not something he wanted. We'll be taking him home and having a hospice nurse come in to check, but his wish was to be let go when the time came. That time has come. I thank everyone so very much for your prayers, well-wishes, etc. and I honestly am at peace with this, though it does & will hurt for some time to come. He'll probably meet up with Mark and while they won't talk trucks, they'll get along great.
I'm working on a eulogy and know it will be the hardest thing I ever do. If you have time topray for my sisters & brothers, and my Mom that'd be awesome. I have y'all here, and that's a blessing itself.

Indication...yeah it seemed so. I joked around with them for a lot of the interview, and when I asked them what they were looking for, he said "someone with the skills who can work hard and joke around a bit" and then he gave me this wierd smile.
He said they'd be making a decision within the next week or two, and their deadline was April 1st. I said "hey that's my birthday. So, as a present to me, you can call me and say Hey Lisa, you have the job!" and they laughed, thought that was great.
We see eye to eye on some ethical workplace issues, which was a good sign.
Also he (the boss) is a transplant, came here from California. I see that as a positive, because I think I have lost out on some jobs because the people here want to hire a native. Thats just how small towns are it seems.
Sounds like you and J-L will have fun tonight. Pizza sounds good.
Edit: dang Brendan. I am so sorry to hear all of this. You have my phone number if you need to talk and unload.

You get me some pics of those fine Texas women at that rodeo, and we'll call it square. I think living a good life will be the best way to honor my hero, so that's what I'm going to do. Thanks Scott.
