Yup it was. Thank God that that guy paid what he owed on some stuff from my shop. That paid for the ins for 6 months, registration, and the crap that I had to pay at NAPA and the inspection.
The electrician in me wants to see the wiring job too!!
I'm going to post up a thread about it,
But here is a sneak peek:
(and believe me, you don't want to see my wiring. lol)
well Pete, hows this, my lil sister looks to me moving in with us now.....she's 20. Hope your trustworthy.....just playing...
whoa, wrong answer. don't encourage Pete. If he gets that close to me when he is done with her he will be sniff'n around my house next. lol
I had 40 trees removed from my property last Summer and then had the back yard excavated and reshaped and could have used you.
Turns out there are allot of Rocks here in Washington, I raked the yard for a month removing rocks before I put down seed and I'm still growing rocks.
Reseeding again hopefully this weekend(snowed last Sunday) maybe it will cover up some of these rocks. But I really think I need some top soil spread around. And that stuff isn't cheep either. whaaaa
front yard still needs a little tractor work. needs more dirt (top soil)!

We get $17/yard delivered from the town for our screened topsoil. I'm figuring that the private sector would be like $25/yard delivered.
At least that's the pricing for this area. I know "Contractor Grade topsoil" which is just screened subsoil can be had for 5-8$ per yard cheaper, but you're not going to be growing anything in subsoil.
Most "topsoil" you get is a 50-50 mix of topsoil and subsoil.
For your work it sounds like either hiring it out or renting a skid with bucket and rock rake would be the best option. The bucket will make for spreading and leveling dirt. The rock rake will handle your rock problems.

when I called several tractor guys and asked about the rock rake they all laugh and said 100k tractor not worth the amount of the investment.
so there must be a special tractor just for rocks? or did I not explain my need correctly? The guy that came out that I did hire just did it with the front bucket. Hell of a job, but the rocks grow real good up here.
The top soil companies I called wanted like 15k for approx 3 or 4 in spread over 20k feet. I have a big back yard. that sound right?

I'm going home, long day.
A rock rake and skid do not cost a hundred grand. If I wanted to go bare bones I could get a mechanically sound skid for 7 or 8k and a used rake for under 2k so he's WAY off base on that cost.
I'm not very good with material calculations though so I'll need some help on that...
