The gym!! Oh and cleaning the entire house. That good enough for you? I know I'm unemployed but I deserve more credit than that!
.
Must have been the gym, when my wife was twice your age she cleaned 3 to 5 big houses daily and it never phases her,now she only clean 2 twice a week plus the one she lives in

I went to bed at 11:30...I'm not sure what I did to convince you guys that I am lazy and lackluster.
Nothing wrong with turning in at 11:30, when your tired your tired.
I'm not much of a nightowl. Never have been.
I feel like I need to defend myself or something. I can work CIRCLES around Randy. I'll work a physical or labor job well into the night..even after it gets dark. I remodeled an entire house in Denver..basically by myself. I put in wood floors, erected a fence (front and back)..painted the house inside and out.. refinished cabinets...most of it was done in under two weeks..and that was while I was working roughly 55 hours a week.

Ok I feel better now.
No need to defend yourself Lisa. We know you, and we know you are not a slacker. As a casual reader, I did not take the context as derogatory, but more like a Joey Tribiani(from Friends) comment of "whatchooo been doin?"
I can also see your side of the comment, and have been there in the past. Frustrating, and somewhat depressing only begin to describe what I was feeling at that time n my life.
Dont let it get you down, it will turn around and the job that you want will present itself.

I've never been much of a night owl either, being off work has kept me up later than normal. No need to defend yourself.

How about you?
Big plans for the weekend?

Don't worry about a thing Mike. Sharing the comp with J-L Imissed it anyway!
Lisa I knowexactly how you feel. I haven't worked since I got injured in Oct. That forced me to close down the business. I didn't have time to sell it. I ended up giving my commercial accounts to a freind of mine, but with the economy they are very slow. After I get cleared to work finding a job is going to be very tough. Alot of the small shops have closed and the larger shops have cut down to bare bones. They won't be hiring anyone new for quite some time. The "unfortunate" thing on my end that Electrical is the only thing that I know. I putter with other stuff but not enough to get a job doing it.

Thanks guys...Mike, Brandon, Jim. I guess I get worked up a little too easily.
Depressed, frustrated.Yeah that pretty much sums it up. Especially since I just had to call a place that offered me a job and tell them I couldn't take it. He was digging for reasons...I pretty much had to tell him straight up that pay and benefits were not where they needed to be for me to accept the position. He sounded really disappointed. After a fresh nights sleep, I can see clearly. I didn't bust my *** through college to work for $8.50 an hour.
Jim don't feel down. I think the skill you have is a fabulous one. I wish I could do some of the things you can do. The economy and job market is just in the tank right now. I've seen a few electrician jobs around here. Heck I even think the railroad Randy works for was looking for an electrician at one point in time.

Dropping off apps and resumes in person is a great way to be remembered.
Big plans...Randy wants to go to a gun show in the Quad Cities area tomorrow. We're going to have lunch there somewhere and just drive around and check it out since I have never been there. Supposed to be nice (in the 50's) this weekend so we're going to try to take advantage of that.
