Here's pretty much what it looks like now (some of the trees are trimmed up a bit, and one is gone):
Here is the tree I took out a couple months back. You can see the stump right up next to the house to the right of the window AC -- why the original owners put a tree there that got that big is beyond me. I'm about to take the other one out that's up against the front of the house on the right side (you can see it in the pic above just to the right of the front door). It's the same type of tree (Bradford Pear).
For a saw I wouldnt go with anything else but a husquavarna. My dad has a stihl weed wacker though, and its pretty good.
I just bought a cheapy weed wacker for out here that was on sale at Princess Auto. I think its a poulan if i remember right. It does the job great, but I really question how long shes gonna last lol.
Hey Nolan, Scott and Brad. I'm doing good today. J-L has me laughing now. She had a hole in her sock so she decided to cut it off with scissors. I have little pieces of sock all over the floor.
I believe it was actually the sleeve around the valve that would get hot and melt a little and drop into the cylinder.
They'd be overloading the engine and overheating it like crazy. As well as not maintaining it properly.
They'd be running 18" of line out of each side of the head without the guards and then trying to go through heavy weeds that way.
They'd be better off getting FS250s to do that kind of stuff. They are still 2-strokes. The EPA hasn't messed with them yet.
Bunch of hammer heads....
Yeah, I was pissed when I went to get a new Lawn Boy and they were all 4-cycles. My previous one was a '77 model and lasted until 2001! That's even cheaper than my Ryobi per year.
But I got one anyway. So far, I had to tear the carb apart once. I keep the oil changed in it every season (in fact, I'm about to do it again). It's a Tecumseh engine -- so far, I'm pleased.

Jim,I think just having JL there will heal you faster than the doctors can.
WooHoo Time change tonight! Except for Arizona... FREAKS!
...and most of Indiana. Gary (Chicago suburb) and Evansville change. The rest of the state doesn't. Talk about freaks!!! Actually, I wish we'd just stay on DST.... I HATE going home in the dark in the winter!!
EDIT: I guess Indiana changed to observing the time changes recently. But Hawaii doesn't...
