Hey Tristan, can you get to the under side of the floor? If so, block across the holes and screw up into the sub floor. Then, take a piece of paper, trace the holes and with your jig saw make some plugs to match. Glue em in place and your done.

If you cant get under the floor try slipping a piece of wood through the hole with some glue on it and then pull up on it with a string attached until the glue can set. Then, make your template. Use sub-floor adhesive (liquid nails) and screws for all the repairs and you'll never have to deal with it again.

Alright. Ill see what I can find. I dont think they have any plywood on hand and definitely dont wanna have to buy any! Imma go see if its just one layer of sub or 2. It looked pretty thicker than reg 3/4. They might have just laid another piece on it when they did the remodel. I was actually pizzed off that they cut that vinyl AROUND the water heater pan. Thats why Ive already gotta get them another piece of that. Ive gotta cut that vac line and really dont wanna dig out the recip today either. It seems like when Im sick I sit around and think/do stuff that will make me sicker. Sanding the joint compound made me sneeze like 30 times...oh well!

I can get under there. Bout the ONLY place I can fit my big azz in under this house. I can actually sit straight up under this part!

Ive got tons of those pics, Ed. Lemme try to find some!

Sounds good Tristan, it probably has 3/4 sheeting or 1x6 or 8 T&G, then maybe 1/4'' underlay on top. Who knows, seems like it's always different. Heck around here they use 1 1/8'' sometimes...Thats fun to match up...3/4+1/2= doh! didnt work... lets see, try again... 3/4+1/4=doh! under......more glue!!!!!!!!!!

1 1/8"???? Why would you use that oddball thickness?! Guess its ok if its on sale...right? lol I wouldnt enjoy remodeling and trying to match that up at all...

I might have to go to Canada sooner than I thought if thats true!

Anyone remember the show Family Matters (Steve Urkel)? I remember one episode where Eddie and his friend Waldo Geraldo Faldo (dont ask me how I remember his whole name) went on a road trip and Waldo was driving and Eddie woke up and asked Waldo where they were. Well Waldo said we're in this big town called Canada but he pronounced it like Ca Nada...

It's actually quite common, 1 1/8'' T&G. Lots of custom homes have it. As you can imagine, it's heavy, and very expensive.

My parents def didnt have a contractor worth a crap when they built our house. Well...he was alright until something happened with the roof. We wanted our friend to do the roof (at cost) and parents got it in writing that the contractor would agree to it. Well he had his subs start doing it and we came out here dad supposedly started flippin out. Contractor took them to court over it and of course we had it in writing about him not charging us for it (which he tried to do) and he wasnt to worry about it. After that we caught his crew constantly trying to steal supplies that we paid for out of pocket. Extra block and brick here and there. Dad counted it everyday haha

He hated my dad. They ended up payin like 130K for this house and land...

Must have all been hungry at the same exact time...the second mouse always gets the cheese...unless you time it perfectly!

That looks like a very nice place! Only $130? dang.... You'd expect that to be around $400+ out here, depending on land and location. Stupid contractors trying to rip everyone off.....lol
