Lisa - good luck on the interview, though I'm sure you won't need it. What's the position?
Good Morning Brandon. Have you tried using a "pickle fork"? They work pretty well. I think that autozoo has them for rent.

Have a safe trip!!

I did try the pickle fork last night, but at 5:30 this morning I was going for a quieter option! After being locked in place for 150,000 miles, it's being stubborn! Thing is, I MUST get this out so I can get the new stuff in, and get an alignment done today so I can be ready to hit the road. Parts stores open at 8AM (45min) so I'll be ducking out of work to head over, get what I need, and hopefully get her done in under an hour...

Brendan I'm glad you're going home for a bit. Enjoy your time with your family and don't worry about us.

The position - a Marketing Assistant position with a local insurance company that specializes in Czech fraternal benefits. There is a huge Czech population here. Very interesting company.

I might need all the luck I can get. I have an impressive collection of rejection letters.

I have a bunch of pullers. I wish that I had known and I could have shipped them to you.

No worries but I greatly appreciate the thought. I decided last night to mess with changing out all the front steering stuff, since it's going to be getting cold this weekend. The one friggin' tierod end wouldn't come out so I thought "Ahhh... I'm not getting PO'd about it. I'll go in, watch a movie & rassle the pups."

Then my sister called me at 10PM and everything changed.

I'll get it done. It has to be done, so it will be, no matter what. Thanks for the offer though.

I seldom use a pickle fork.I put outward pressure on the tie rod end and with a BFH knock the hell out of the boss and it normally pops right out.
I leave the nut on loose so things don't go flying when it breaks loose

Coming back from lunch today, buddy and I are following a 7.3 CC short bed towing a little trailer. The trailer has a pallet of roofing shingles on it. The truck is lifted and no drop hitch in the receiver so the trailer is inlined up at an angle. We stop at a light and when the guy starts away from the light, the pallet of roofing shingles slides to the back of the trailer, as it's not tied down. We back off a little and as we are going down the road, the trailer starts to whip, side to side. We back way off just in time to see the trailer come around and take the SD right off the road and onto the dirt shoulder. Jack knifed the trailer and slammed it right up against the side of the truck.

Little 12' untility trailer, poorly loaded, poorly hitched to a nice truck driven by a guy with no skills.

Bad combination.

Get a pitman arm puller from AZ.It will pot it right off.Don't beat on it to much tends to make the seal on the bottom of the steering box leak.
