It was exhausting more than anything. I drove straight from there to the hospital up here to hold my newborn nephew

You wanna talk about "can't drive"..... here in MD, they drive like lemmings. Literally, people will bunch up going down the road. All 4 lanes filled, 4 or 5 cars deep.... and at least 150' between groups. Makes me KUH-RAZY!!! I guess from so many years of riding motorcycles, I don't like people driving too close to me.

Glad to hear things went well yesterday Alicia, and that you beat traffic!! now that you're in the OT, you have to keep us updated!
Kids are extremely lazy nowadays. The amount of physical work I do in a day is more than youngins do in a month. There is no work ethic anymore.

It was a good thing I couldn't have my gun down there because I would have been very tempted to take out some tires.

Hey! That's awesome congrats about that. I love nieces and nephews: all the fun, and when they cry or poop their diapers, you give them back!

I know the feeling. I think I want to carry a tazer like the police have. How much fun would that be!! My buddy's g/f teaches swimming in the summer and had a few PITA kids that had no manners. I thought tazer'ing the water would be great to get their attention....

Water is a conductor. Now, I am just giving you my honest humble opinion, but most police tazers put out about 50,000 volts of pulse electric shocks.

You'd electrocute those kids...like a bunch of burnt wieners in a pot on the stove.

And I'm sure some of them deserve it.

Ha! That's great! I've got 3 nieces, 2 on my wife's side, one on my side. My brother's daughter is almost 8 months, I'm bugging the Mac Tools and Snap On guys to get me some branded baby clothes. No luck yet, but maybe in time for when my kid comes along.

Congrats on the new nephew!

Morning peoples

I agree with ya all ont he work ethic of younger people. Out in the patch we had lots of younger guys, and they just couldnt keep up. The amount of "breaks" and crap they took was amazing.

I also think our generation has nothing on the work ethic of our parents. My dad was born in 1952ish, and you should see that guy shovel grain, and do his farm duties. It would make most 20 year olds now a days look silly. Also my grandpa was like that too, he finally quit farming at 80 some years of age! (Thats 25-30 YEARS past when most people retire! and he still comes out and helps out, drives swather and whatnot!)

The kind that go bang. I have a decent collection. But I always want more... what girl wouldn't want more and bigger guns??

Like I said, whatever I can do to help

Im glad things went well for you Alicia.
Chicken?? Not at all. I wait for the right timing...

Guns that go bang works for me. I like most all guns, but really prefer flat black ones

Hey big brother! I'm sure you'd outwork me right now, I spend more time in meetings and buying coffee for the guys than I do framing these days...I need to get biking again but just cant seem to make time. I didnt get to ride my mountain bike ONCE this entire summer.

My apprentice at work is always looking forward to the coffee breaks. So do I, but when I'm neck deep in work that I only need 20 minutes more to finish, I'll keep going. He can't find anything productive to do, and he gets in my way if he tries to help, so he wanders around and humps the pooch.

Then, he's yapping on the phone all day, taking calls from his wife or brother, and sometimes, customers from his side business.

A few times I've pulled a Gordon Ramsey on him. He still doesn't get it though.
