Well, there is good news and bad news about my Christmas decorations this year.
Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories.
But two things made me take it down. First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by. Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.
Kind of feel like I gave in to the man by taking him down but my neighbor did confirm two near miss accidents on the busy street next to my house. I think I made him too real this time.
So it was fun while it lasted

Mark, Thats funny stuff, I have a friend who worked for me about 6 years back, she did the same thing. It seems every year now we get a mass email showing her picture again, like she just did it.
The State Patrol came on the TV this morning and said STAY HOME. If you crash, we can't get to you.
And Brendan, its not the amount of snow that is bad, its that damn blizzard, 60 mph winds this morning causing whiteout conditions. It doesn't do this kind of stuff in CO. Were this CO, there'd be a neat foot on the ground and the sun would be out.
The plows are out but they arent doing much. A plow goes by and 15 minutes later it all blows back in, I see drifts on the highway as I look out the window.
We are getting the 50 mph winds, but nothing for snow today, eveything went around the metro detroit area.. my guess is we got a major blow hard back in town ( kwame kilpatrick ) causing a high presure system just here in detroit, causing the storm to go both North and South of us.. just a thought
Took me about 2 hrs to change 6 spark plugs in Lynns car tonight. Holy crap, what a nightmare. Only to break of the tip of the last one. I think I almost had a stroke trying to get a couple of the spark plug boots off the back side of the engine. Why couldn't the car be a diesel?
if it was a diesel, you would not have anything to bitch about!!

60mph winds will definitely make a big difference!! CO doesn't get that, but it did come down DAMN HARD & HEAVY in mid-April '09. I had to deal with crap like that up in Cheyenne; nasty nasty conditions & part of why I bought my truck. Diesels are happy idling on the side of the road, waiting out the storms. Gassers.... not so much. Plus diesel's just badass!!!
