Tom...look for used compressors on craigslist...or put out a wanted ad...a non-working nailgun compressor may be perfect for you!

Hey guys,

Well my long vacation is just about to an end. I'll need to be at the train station in about an hour. Boooo!

I trust everyone had a good Thanksgiving?

Why would I be irritated? You're allowed to visit Cedar Rapids if ya want.

I would never kick a guy in the sweet spot, unless I was short on options. If I have an issue, I'll hit him right square in the jaw. I used to call my brother a butthead, but I don't recall ever calling someone a stinky poo poo head.

Evening, Steve. I'm doing pretty well. Gotta help my uncle pull the back of his rear seat out tomorrow so he can retrieve his front license plate that fell down in there when he first bought the truck. Been meaning to do it for a long time but just never got around to it.

Then I'm hooking up with a CT chapter member to borrow a torque wrench for when I eventually do my VB. Guy says keep it as long as I need it he hasn't used it in years since he had his race bikes. Gotta love FTE!

Steve I was referring to it incorrectly as the recycling center before. We're actually operating the composting center. Imperial operates the recycling center. They take bottles, cans, used engine oil, etc. we take leaves, brush, sticks.

It's going well although there is the usual BS associated with dealing with the public.

Town wants everything done yesterday residents don't care and just do whatever they want and we're in the middle trying to orchestrate it all.

In the last 20 days we've taken the entire facility. I'd estimate it at 5 acres or so. And taken it from almost empty to almost entirely full of leaves but they're whining because we haven't ground any of the brush yet so the pile is pretty large at this point. We keep it pushed up but the residents have to back in a certain way to get out of the travel lanes. Well of course none of them do so we got a letter from the public works director talking about how we aren't doing what we're supposed to in regards to grinding cause cars "have to be parked" in the travel lane to unload and blablabla and then they yelled at us because we didn't open on time one morning due to the loader not starting. The way the facility there is set up is this: There is the main gate. Once you're in the main gate you can go left through another gate to the recycling center or go straight to the composing center where there is no gate. Well we close at 2:00 on Saturdays. The recycling center is open until 4:00. We can't lock the main gates because that would lock people out of the recycling center. We've got no individual gate so we would park the loader across the entrance and use it as a gate. Well someone went and monkeyed with the loader one time we did that. They turned the electric disconnect on and the batteries were dead when we got there Monday morning. We needed to jump start it but the loader runs on 24v not 12v so we had to string out an extention cord and get the 24v battery charger out. So we're preparing for a fight with them over getting them to install a proper gate there. For now we're just leaving it for the 2 hours and not bothering.

Ah the fun of municipal contracting.
