well, project on-board air is dead in the water again.
version 3 became a total waste of time and money when i tried welding the 2 pinhole leaks in the primary air tank.
for every hole i welded, another 4 appeared.
now i know why the "good" tank was free. the whole bottom seam was bad.this tank must have leaked since new. the bottom weld was full of holes, and the tank metal was paper thin. i was burning through it with the welder set at 60 amps.

Why not just go get an old oxygen bottle from a welding yard and use that?
The tank wall ought to be thick enough for anything.
the 10 gallon portable tank is what looks like is going to be version 4 unless i can find a decent priced 15 gallon air compressor tank. the main reason for using the compressor tank over oxy or freon tanks is mounting issues.
