Hows harvest going up your way deereman?. Been a slow go around here. Life treating you well.
We are haveing a hell of a time getting the corn in because of the rain, we are at 28% moisture right now and are just taking out time with HMSC waiting anf d hoping that the moisture levels will go down to a decent level to where we can sell it and not get the docked to hell because of the moisture. other than that my life is ok just taking it one day at a time.
Mark - glad to hear you made it there. That's one heck of a drive... nearly straight through!!! UGH!!! West Texas is the WORST... worse than Kansas, and that's pretty darn horrible!
5PM here and almost dark... UGH. Not good, but it won't last too long. Hope everyone had an awesome day!!
West texas was great after dark...hardly any lights and the sky was full of stars!
actually my best driving was after dark...next trip i think I will sleep days and travel after dark!
I am sad to say i saw 2 major accidents involving superduties...one looked like it plowed into a few trees at speed...the other had the rear end all smashed up by its trailer ( I think it was a boat)...it was driveable but prolly totaled...
there was also 5 vehicles off the road in Louisiana due to hydroplaning...heavy rain and everyone was doing 75 mph...no shoulder on the roadway...get in the wet grass and just get sucked into the median.
I almost hit some ******* in the left lane doing 45 mph with his blinker on...I think he picked up someone from a disabled vehicle and was trying to make the nearest exit 6 lanes over! IDIOT!!
finally got the onboard air and train horns fully hooked and working today to find out there are two pinhole leaks in the primary 15 gallon tank, and there is a diaphram blown out on one of the horn trumpets.
guess it ain't finally hooked up and working after all.
i am going to take the horns apart over the long weekend and see which one is bad.
we have a stack of replacements in the big truck shop, so i should be able to find one the proper size.
The hour meter reads 6,XXX but I would doubt it works. Don't know the year at this point. Will work on finding out at some point.
The hour meter should work, I wouldnt see why it wouldn't. 6XXX hours aint that much, we got at least 3 tractors on the farm past 6000hrs and the other 2 are at 8000 if not way past that.
