Lightning vs. Corvette

Stop it, you people are acting like children, buy whatever vehicle you want. I beat C****** and M***** all of the time at the track with and without modifications. They also beat me once in a while, I have a 1979 F150 2wd with a 351M. I personally think that if C******** and D**** were not around I would not have anybody to race. You guys that don't even own a Lightning can brag all that you want, do you know what it is like to travelling down the track (1/4) at 174 mph, because, well, I do. Thanks for reading my opinion, If you don't know what you are talking about then please don't brag, it's the numbers that count.

OK people now has any of u ever put a lightning on a dyno and really seen its horsepower to the rear wheel? And as far as the whole corvette vs. lightning thing goes...1. its a truck vs. a car. 2. My uncle's lightning can't even come close to keeping up with my vette and his is not only had a few mods done to it but its also a 2002 model. 3. The only thing special about that truck is the SC other that that its a standard cab f150 with groundeffects. 4. That 03 cobra is a bunch o bull with its 390hp cause if my vette has 380 to the rear wheel and thats supposed to have 390 than why the hell hasn't my neighbor beat me yet??? All i can say is this i'll give ford its props on building a quick truck but other than that its no vette killer.

Now which part may i ask do u say i'm full of my vette with 380 to the rear wheel, the lightning, or the cobra? Which ever one u want to argue about thats fine i'll back myself but can u back what ever u have to say? If u wanna go after my vette i'll post the numbers on it from Shaver Chevy or from ligenfelter or better yet just got the the website theres a pic of my car and its stats there,or i'll just post the dyno test result myself on here u decide. As for the lightning and the cobra lets see some proof of there actual horsepower #'s and if they are what they say they are than y is my car pulling ahead of them everytime......or wait may chevy and ligenfelter are both wrong and my vette has more horsepower than what the dyno says hmm.. i think not.

Nobody cares about your car, in case you haven't noticed this is a Ford owners website. You don't need to come in here and blab your big damn mouth off. I only believe what I see, corvettes dont't come from the factory with 380 horsepower but Lightnings do. And if somebody in an independent test raced the two and the lightning won, then you should probably take that as official. I will stand by the fact that the driver makes the car win a race. Thats the truth. If you beat a cobra and a lightning the other guy probably wasn't racing. After all the reason that they make so many after market chevy parts is because the chevys need them to work.

Good well round technical talk is good for everyone,especially for people trying to gain information.
I've converted 4 people from owning GM's to Buying Ford's just by stating the Low RPM torque advantage that Ford engines have over GM.
The Low end Grunt puts other's away quickly.
I driven them all.
The 2003 Harley is a grandiose Truck.
The SVT Lightning <> Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2003 Dodge Ram is Nothing <<>> not even enough write a note about..
The 2003 Chev just barely in 3 categories (tested with 10,000lb load) is slightly behind Ford.
Year ago Dodge Power wagon was King of mountain in 4x4'n
The Ramcharger was a relaxed P/W
The Blazer's was always breaking things.
The Bronco's always came back home Muddier than the others with little repair before next weekend.
We encourage Mature and Self-Controlled behaviour when discussing anything here.

There is no such thing as a cheap lightning. They all are 5.4L V8 SC. So how do you feel about the mustang being responsible for shutting down the firebird and camaro programs. You don't need to get so emotional. You are allowed to do whatever you want as long as it falls within legal parameters. I am glad that you can beat somebody in a road race. I beat people all the time at the track, I also lose sometimes, however it is never do to a mechanical failure. According to your math that means that the ZO6 comes with 380 horepower, but that isnt until you get to 8,000 rpm so it is totally useless for most (99%) of the drivers out there. I get your math from what you said about the mustang I don't really care because I don't race them, but my dad has a '69 Mach1, that is a really fast car. I am disappointed that ford is only making 6500 of them though.
