Happy B'day Brent. 30 didn't bother me at all. 40 might. I have a year-and-a-half or so to get used to the idea. LOL

I got some bad news this week. My Grandfather (he's in PA right now) is starting to go down hill, I'm afraid. We were already planning on going up to see him for his 92nd birthday, but the way it looks now, he may not make it. He's been losing his faculties slowly, but just in the last few months he's gotten bad. My Aunt had to get him to the hospital the other night via ambulance. Found out he's got pneumonia and internal bleeding due to a stomach aneurysm. Dad is flying up now, but we're hoping the rest of us don't have to.

Reminds me of a song... It doesn't fit perfectly, but he bought me an old jon boat that I fixed up with seats, bow storage with live well/cooler, and an electric trolling motor. I thought I was the cat's ***, and "Daddy let me drive"... Then when I was overseas, he bought me my first "real" car (my 84 Conv Mustang GT), but I had to pay him back. LOL... Always the business man. And of course, I have a daughter. No Jeep, but I think she'll be getting my truck when she's older. Here's the tune. Nearly always brings a tear to my eye, and will for sure if he passes:

It's done. He didn't even see it coming and as such didn't have much to say.

$28/hr job gone because he couldn't control his mouth.

Glad it went smooth for you Scott. What a friggin' IDIOT. And in this economy.... goes to show you can't fix stupid. It'll probably make it a better workplace overall. Do you think there will be much resentment from those still working there, or will most be happy he's gone?

I hate to see anyone lose their job but this guy trily had it coming. It's been building for over a year.

There's not much resentment. Nearly all of the guys out in the shop are happy about it. He made enemies out of most of the machinists and operators with his cocky attitude and big mouth.

x2

If he's got friends like himself & then get to drinking... "liquid courage" is OK when a white guy needs to dance, but not for this.

I was gonna say be safe but looks like you already got it taken care of. Still watch out for a little while though.

I know the type. The last place I worked didnt care if or what you had been to jail for, so we had some real characters from time to time. It was good that they gave them a second chance at a good/decent job though. I remember one guy in particular had a real loud mouth and he didnt last long! Good worker just couldnt keep his mouth shut about how he thought the company should be run. He left the shop with a escort, wasnt police though.
