I'm a Systems Administrator - i do all the "behind the scenes" stuff on servers for large networks. We're in a "freeze" right now, meaning no real changes can be done, due to year-end processing. I work at a financial corp right now. The politics here are sickening; not my words, but those of several Full-time employees. I'm a contractor here so I'm fairly insulated from it.

Thats cool Brendan.

I actually have training in computer networking. I was going to go full tilt into doing that, then I realized, I hate sitting around. Id rather be shoveling crap, then sitting doing that!
I have to hand it to ya though man, it takes a good guy to do that kinda work!

Might be looking to pick up a new gun this week, I was thinking about a .17 HMR. They are really cheap and fun to shoot. The AR about breaks the bank nowadays at nearly .50 a shot. and you've seen the way I shoot!!! Then again, I really need a good shotgun....
I got a 17HMR and them things are extremely accurate for a factory rifle shooting factory rounds. I have tried different rounds from Remington and CCI and they all fluctuate at different distances. The best round I have found are the Hornady's. They shoot flat as all get out.

It went well. So well in fact, I got the job and started work today. I have another interview later this week, so that should be interesting. I am still confused and still unsure of what I will ultimately be doing.

I worked a full day at the day school today, in the 2-year-old classroom. Wow, am I worn out. Cute kids, but you spend more time cleaning and keeping them from getting in trouble than you do teaching anything (as if I didn't already know that would be the case), and I'm not so sure I'll help my progress towards becoming a teacher in that environment. Things are progressing with enrolling in the Masters program, apparently I qualify to teach world history.

One thing is for sure. If I am meant to be a teacher, its with the older kids.

A friend of mine is a high school teacher. He says he'd rather teach seniors than juniors. The maturity difference is night and day.
