so are you guys telling me that duramax and cummins is a better motor than 7.3 power stroke????? did i make the wrong choice in truck ? dont get me wrong i love my powerstroke but come on im young and want performance
Yes, you're young but with an open ear you learn from us older more experienced guys what works and what don't. Another to think about is because you are young, thus probably not making 6 figures (hell I dont!) do you have the money to keep up repairs on a different truck?

If you want performance out of the 7.3L to keep up with the Dmax and Cummins, you need DEEEEEP pockets. Sorry, but it's true. A Duramax with the right mods can make over 700 rwhp on stock injectors. Compare that to a 7.3L that can make up to 350 rwhp on stock injectors. Another thing to consider is that both the Cummins and Duramax have shattered the 1000 hp barrier. The 7.3L in it's current form hasn't done that yet. (I made that bold because there are as of now 2 trucks with 7.3L Powerstroke blocks that are well over 1000 hp, but they got rid of the HEUI injection and custom built their own p-pump engines).

The way I see it is this. I spent money. If you can benefit from my mistakes, good for you. 2 for the price of 1.
I think I am older than he is and still not making 6 figures. Now what?
