Thanks folks, will be busy this weekend checking for chip and replacing Glow plug relay. Since i already bought a set of glow plugs should I bother replacing them if the relay solves the hard start. bye the way the truck cranks great so batteries should be fine

If those plugs are new, no. If the plugs are original, I would go replace them. When my module went out, I realized I have the originals so I went to replace them. Oh, BTW, honey, while the plugs are out, maybe this is the most economical time to do the AC Single Shot Stage II Injectors

Agreed. I read 90% of the tech threads, I just don't contribute often, because most of the time the issue is resolved long before I can add my crappy .02 anyway. LOL!
Curtis, I hope that lil project is still progressing.
so are you guys telling me that duramax and cummins is a better motor than 7.3 power stroke????? did i make the wrong choice in truck ? dont get me wrong i love my powerstroke but come on im young and want performance
You can get more power out of either of them the 7.3L is limited by the HEUI system, you can make big HP but you got to spend the money.
If you want a truck that falls apart around you get a Dodge, if you want a car that has a diesel engine in it get a chevy. If you got alot of money laying around get a Cummins for your Ford .
I wouldn't fret much. Your 7.3 is going to outlast the others and so will the truck around it. I've owned a Dodge truck. It wasn't a diesel but it had a Hemi and I'll tell ya, it was a piece of chit. Nothing but problems. Sold it to a guy that I work with and he loves it, even though he's constantly working on it.

I think though, the guy is looking for power and not as interested in longevity
