Its closer, but what Deereman said pretty much rules for me as well. I am not a farm kid, but have been near farm stuff nearly all my life...all I know is that a lot of folks died on narrow front tractors who had a lot of experience with them, tons of rollovers. I had some stuff sandblasted once on a rig that had a gasoline start diesel compressor - kinda turned me off on the whole thing. Kubota's are good rigs as well, but they don't make huge stuff. IH, Case, Cat, Deere, even Minneapolis Moline, Oliver, and Allis Chalmers were all decent stuff but all had their particular ups and downs. I can't recomend specific models beyond what features I would want. Seriously for what your use is a skid loader may suit you fine. Look at Case 1845C's....I have one for snow removal and rough terrain material handling at the shop.

Hmm interesting. Well we are looking at 5 acre parcels, so I'd need something that can pull a mower deck and of course for snow removal as you mentioned. I do have an ATV too that I can use for various attachments and I can get a plow for that too. I'd eventually like to start a hobby farm and maybe a super small orchard too so the ATV won't quite cut it.
I thought it would be fun to get a good deal on an older tractor and maybe put a little bit of work into it, but my eyes may be bigger than my stomach if you know what I mean.
I didn't know people died on the narrow front tractors, but I can see why.
Not too bad. Pretty uneventful race, but Carl did win which I was glad to see. I'm pulling for him to win the championship though, and with Jimmy finishing second, Carl wasn't able to gain much ground on him. There's 4 races left in the season though, and a lot can happen over the next four weeks.

Lisa I will type up a used tractor buying guide tomorow after school. If you got any questions just ask. I really got to get some sleep. Good night everybody.
For sure they do look the same. Center section of the tread looks identical to me.
So far, I have no complaints about them, but I don't have many miles on them. I put them on right before I left for Smokin' in the spring, so the only miles on them are the trip down there and since I got the conversion done. They seem a little quieter than the Nitto's were...I think. Everything seems so different with the truck now, it's hard to compare the tires.
I was just wondering because Id like somthing that lasted longer than the nittos, they have as much traction overall for me but they dont last that long...

No problem, but I am going to the post office tomorrow so PM me your address.
Jacob, a used tractor guide, that'd be cool. Don't spend too much time on it, at least, don't let it keep you from fun and/or homework.
Jeremy, sounds like a pretty good race? Forgive me I don't follow racing. For me, racing is like..fishing. One of those things I'd much rather actually go do..but would rather not watch on TV. With a race on TV ill fall asleep faster than if Bob Ross is on the tube talking about homes for the happy bunny rabbits.

Well, it's probably going to be a year or two before I can tell you whether they last longer or not. Even then, I'm not sure it will be a fair comparison, since I've got a touch more power now which will be harder on the tires. You might PM Kris though. I think he's run both and may be able to tell you how mileage was.
Edit: No worries, Lisa. It's not for everyone. Racing's in my blood (somehow) though, so I find it interesting. I guess it's just all what you're into. I can't stand to watch fishing or golf on TV, but I know people who can watch it intently and stay interested.

I think I want to go to a more agressive tread soon though, Im not sure yet Ill ask him about the Toyos though.
