Nice writeup Jacob. I like the DO NOT BUY TRACTOR. lol.

Question - you flagged white smoke. Do diesel tractors have a cold start system like bigger diesel engines, and if so, why would white smoke be such a particularly bad sign?

Most tractors from 1970 on up have glow plugs or a plugin block heater. The white smoke is the cylender wall scratched due to over use of ether. Ether basically de-lubricates the cylender making the engine easier to turn over, but over time scratches develop in the cylender wall and once the tractor gets the ether out of it's system the scratches allow oil to get into the combustion chamber causing white smoke. And as crazy as it might sound tractors get addicted to ether. Lisa I would suggest getting a 1990s to 2000s utility tractor. You are getting more tractor for the money compared to the sub-compact tractors. If you don't mind Lisa could you tell me what your ideal price range for the tractor is, what you are going to use the tractor for, what extras you want(ex: cab, 4-wd, mower, rototiller, ect.) how far are you willing to drive to pickup the tractor.

Lisa I may have found a nice tractor for you. Take a look http://www.fastline.com/v100/details...e-28b5876f9fed

This is even off topic in the off topic thread. But if you had a like new 3/4 length leather jacket that you paid 600 bucks for when you weighed 200 pounds and now you only weigh 150, how would you go about selling it? Everybody I know wants me to just give it to them. LOL.....

I would say Craigslist or Ebay. If your friends want to buy it then I would use those sites to get a general idea what a coat like yours is going for.

Are you kidding me? I look like an effin scarecrow. I let my bride do this to me. I just never got over her, guess I never will. I thought I would gain a little weight when I quit the smoking and I guess I have, but not very much yet. It may get better.

Just saw the news and we are supposed to be in the 90* on halloween, I swear someone needs to tell Mother Nature that it is fall.....

I have had a headache for the past 3 days and nothing will take the pain away. I thought I was maybe getting a sinus infection (never had one) so I went and got some meds and they don't help. I have tried HeadOn and it just burned my forehead. Took a percocet last night and that didn't even take the pain away, I just didn't give a crap about the pain. LOL. Today I have taken 2400mg of ibprofen and one dose of sinus stuff. The pain is in the center of my forehead. Anyone have any suggestions on what else I could take??? I need help, I can't deal with this that much longer. I feel like I am going to rub a hole in my forehead from rubbing it so much to make the pain go away.
