Tell me about it. Almost 3000 bucks for a set of good tires for my motor home. If I don't win the lottery I ain't never getting any. The ones I have now are just about done for and they are the 3rd set I've had on here since new.
what size you run on your motorhome? assuming 22.5s
How was your mileage with those Nitto's. Mine sucked.
Ok to not so good, I guess. I got about 20K out of them, but I'm not exactly easy on tires. I don't burnouts and such (not often), but I'm not afraid to lay down a good hard acceleration run when pulling away from a stop, and I can sometimes take a corner a little faster than what most do in a truck. I mean, there's only so much a tire can do when it's being thrashed around by an 8000 pound truck with a lead-footed driver. However, for the most part, I'll trade some shorter tread life for an increase in traction.
LOL. I'm actually not too big into sports myself, but I do like the Bills and Pats. The Raiders I really wouldn't say I hate, but damn, out here in California thier fan base is made up primarily of folks that would be easily taken for umm, thugs, ahhh, hooligans....
I wouldn't think a set of 6 would be over $2300
they costa little more than a11r-22.5 which is about $300 each
I think I paid about 1800 for the Kelly Springfields I have on here now in Macon, Georgia in 1998. I am just guessing at the 3k figure the way everything else has gone up so badly. I did pay 2200 for a set of Michelin that I did not like at all, that was probably in 1991 or '92 I have been real happy with the Kellys though. What I really need is to find someone that will trade me work for tires.
The Bills Chris. I went to 2 of their Super Bowl appearances. The one in Pasadena, and the one in Atlanta. They may not have won any of them, but no other team has gone to 4 in a row.
I kinda thought you were a Bills fan.

Well the look the exact same in that pic, How do you like those Toyo's?

I have to say Im the same way and get about 20k out of them too. Im happy with the traction in any weather so far, even did good on some soft sand I was on down in FL.
Dude.... That was funny. They should drive the big truck around town with the El Camino & bike burning out like that. Or maybe cruising the strip during Spring Break... That would make a good YouTube vid.
the last 425s I bought about 11yrs ago were $750 a piece plus taxes
I could get about 80k miles on them on the steering axle
Thats not bad for mileage out of them, most of the steer tires we installed were actually michelins, and they would last around the same, nice ride quality out of them too.
I forget what we used to sell them for though, I only worked in sales for a short time before I became the foreman, and I forget most of the prices now.

Im surprised you didnt like the michelin's. We sold pretty good ones though, not the lower end ones.
We sold kelly's too, but they were cheapies, they were ok, but didnt last a whole long time!
Set of ten tires on a semi truck would usually run a guy around the 5k mark.
