Cool pics Chris! It's always nice to put a face to the name. Very cute dog with a cool name might I add. As far as fixing my avatar I don't think I can with my laptop. Maybe once we move back in to the house I can monkey around with a PC program. WHen it comes to computers I'm a step above Forest Gump "I'm not a smaart man" ......
I saw the ORIGINAL premier Dukes of Hazzard episode once. It was very real, more like a drama (not dorky dumb humor like the Dukes of Hazzard we all know). I guess people didn't want a serious show, they wanted a goofy one. Just once, i want to be able to jump my truck the way they jump the General and be able to drive away.
Leo, being a native of the area - what do you think of the University of Iowa, and Cornell college? I want to go back and get my Masters.
The U of I is a good school, great hospital there.....I am not familiar with their masters programs, but I think they are darn expensive. Cornell I have never even considered.... I think its more affordable than the U of I. Iowa does have a good community college system, whatever classes you can take at them that will transfer will be to you advantage.
And I think you are right on the original 2 hour dukes of hazard intro..... I think I saw that one too.
The last couple of pages have been interesting to read. The hot air balloons are cool, and what a good lens you have! That work shirt is funny Brent, you have those for all your employees or is that something you just have. It might snow here tonight and from what it feels like, it very well could.
That shirt (or wording) has been around for about as long as I can remember.
It wasn't too super bad. Some wrappers from roofing supplies, a couple coke bottles (brand new) and some drinking water. I think it was dark when they left, so that sort of explains things. I don't think they meant to leave those brand new Coke bottles ya know. I had to go outside and rake leaves anyway.
The only thing that sorta made me mad is that they used my outdoor outlet and my extension cord..unplugged my cord from my timer. I didn't notice it and the truck ended up being plugged in for 11 hours. No big deal but, gezz if you borrow my stuff at least put it back!
Not really worth fighting it. Now they at least hauled off all the old roofing they removed. THAT I would have thrown a fit over.
A good contractor would have apologized and made sure the mess got cleaned up. If you're paying money to have something done, it should be done right. You wouldn't have left the mess for the new owners of your house, why should they leave that mess for you?

I've been getting some real good training though- 2 weeks ago we fired about 1000 rounds of 5.56 (M4- the sexy version of the M-16) and 9mm. My shooting definitely improved being taught by prior service Marines, the SOCOM/ spec ops types. This week we learned how to kick in doors and rush a room (like cops do) without getting shot. Plus when we get out there we're supposed to be driving aroundin MRAP's- like this pic- so I'm pretty confident I'll be ok.
S-2 must have come a long way for you to feel comforted. I know what it used to mean when they said no resistance expected. That MRAP looks like a lot more comfortable transportation than the boots I got to use.
I'll agree with Mark's earlier assesment. MOUT has to be a lot more difficult when you're supposed to assume everyone is a good guy first.
