Lisa, can you even get a Windows computer without Vista anymore?
I've been using Chrome all night, and so far prefer it to IE. It's definitely faster. I'll keep using it for the next couple weeks anyway. Haven't found anything I don't like about it yet.
Steve, your buddy should just drive gently until the temp gauge on the dash shows normal. There's no need to run the RPM up just to try and generate heat in it. Also, it would be difficult to try and specify an exact time it takes it to reach operating temp. Obviously on warm days it will warm up much quicker than on a winter morning. The engine will warm itself up just fine.
The only nag I've got right now is that when I open a thread to view a new post, I sometimes have to scroll up a bit to view the text of the post, as the page opens with the bottom of the new post at the very top of the page.
I'm checking out for the night. Been a stressful past few days, between helping Jeff move, the setbacks on the conversion, my parent's dog dying on Sunday, the ex's grandmother dying this morning, and listening to the stress Jeff is under. I may just end up falling asleep like Travis's daughter if I'm not careful.
it's not letting me view my work stuff at ALL. I might be going back to IE if I can't get it to work.......probably just security settings. The emulator for Railroad crap is a bit different then the "standard" webpage.
This 38 YO "fogey" knew what the V-card was... Speakin' of crotchety old fogies Kris, what're YOU doing in the OT thread? Weren't you just griping about it not long ago??

Her half sister did. They are 6 weeks old today. I think mine is finished. She was in labor for 17 hours and was it miserable for both of us. Life threatening for her. I may let her try again, but I doubt it.

Thanx for that info Jeremy, I've been wondering about that for more than a year. In fact I don't think I ever even noticed the chiclets until visiting the Club and having some of the upper right corners look like Christmas trees.
For those that do not like Vista, you all do know that XP PRO will override Vista don't you? Wasn't sure if anyone knew this or not. It will of course erase anything on it,but You will have XP again and not Vista
If you go in to Best Buy/Circuit City/whatever then you're 95% likely to get Vista. To get it "out of the box" with XP you'll likely need to order from Dell (or similar) and from their Small Business division. Vista's got some cool features for people that like bells & whistles - I wish M$ would let you do it "a la carte" - no IE entegrated in to everything, no Outlook Express or Media Player built in - that's why I'm working my way over to Linux
