I just took this pic of my very tired Daughter.....she falls asleep like this pretty often Those were the days!
A munchkin after my own heart. There are lots of wee Lisa pictures that look just like this.

I'm not sure. We're about to find out. I'll put my persuasion face on. Actually a computer geek friend of mine had said something a while back about vendors offering a choice between one and the other, since people are so pissed about Vista.

Joe, we expect you to know most things of this nature. That's what a few months in the sandbox will do to you, you demented fogey.
Speakin' of crotchety old fogies Kris, what're YOU doing in the OT thread? Weren't you just griping about it not long ago??
That was yesterday, and tomorrow..but today the OT is cool.

Laboring puppies is definitely a dangerous deed for small breed dogs. I whelped a litter of Boston Terriers/Pugs once. Beautiful puppies and the mom was a lil soldier, but it was dangerous and I had a vet on speed dial in case we needed to take her in for a c-section. We got lucky and 4 out of the 5 pups were healthy and mom did well (were my parent's dogs).

A la carte? but then, how would they force you to purchase (and use) their ****tty programs that no one wants?
IMO Apple is the best out there. My IMac is a great little computer.

I have a copy of XP that can be installed on any computer I could send you, but it would void any warranty on a new comp. Only thing is......it doesn't have drivers, you'd have to get them individually thru downloads. Sort of a pain.....but a FREE offer if ya like
Listen to the man, Jacob. He's right on. Enjoy being young, and don't load yourself down with too many responsibilities. They creep up on you quickly.
Jay - is your cat a ragdoll?
Gesh, what a long day. We had our annual open house. Five hours of forcing a smile and standing in a business suit and heels.
Are you asking if it is not real? Yes he is. He is a real cutey (sorry Mark). Tons of personality. Got him for my wife and he follows ME around like one of our dogs. Bugs the heck out of Lynn. He was the only one out of the litter that looks like this.

I appreciate the offer, but this is sounding like a lot of work.. my question is, how do I access the internet, if I can't properly install the OP because I have no drivers?
Hey, you know, for someone who badgers me for never being on chat..you haven't been on chat much.
search PC connection ( online pc seller of parts and... well darn near everything pc) for whatever has XP pro.... I bought a new thinkpad not long ago from there preloaded with XP( and a good price too), and just had a new box built with XP by a local tech guru. They are still available, many large companies don't want to deal with the issues of switching for no benefit... sometimes there is an " upgrade charge" to do it though. XP pro to me is what I'll run until I have issues gettig software to run with it. Its kinda like Windows NT 4.0... ran it for years through the 95 ,me, etc. years for microsoft...only had 1 or 2 computers with win 200 before going XP. The new box is a quad core extreme with 4 GB ram....it's quick.

Ragdoll is a breed of cat. We had several of them growing up, and my boyfriend's cat is a Ragdoll, but he is colored differently..orange and white.
Here are a few Ragdoll pics off the internet. Look familiar? Yours looks like a sealpoint, bicolor, mitted Ragdoll.
Does he like to hang on things? for example, does he sit on the arm of the couch, and hang off the side, his body very limp..and just "hang there".like a "ragdoll"?
Maddie just scared the shiiit out of my dog, Hannah was sitting right next to me when I turned it on, she jumped off the couch and went into my room and jumped in bed with Troy.
That is too cute, Lisa. The only time my dog talks is when she wants to go bye bye.
Is it fishing time yet??? I just bought some Captain and Coke in a can!!!
Cris, Can you send me some of that? We cannot get it here!
For those that do not like Vista, you all do know that XP PRO will override Vista don't you? Wasn't sure if anyone knew this or not. It will of course erase anything on it,but You will have XP again and not Vista
I had no idea it could do that. There aren't many programs on the Vista Desktop yet, so this may be something I need to look into. Thanks for the info, Scott!

I know, but I can't help it either. These are the people who are closest to me and I can't help but worry about them a little.

I agree, and now that Intel is making their chips and you can use something like Parallels to run Windows and a Mac OS at the same time, that rocks. When my laptop dies (it's a hand me down and starting to wear out), I'm planning on getting a Mac to replace it. Those MacBook Air's are sweet, but probably out of my price range.

Thanks Leo. If we run into problems this weekend, we may just end up doing that.
Those Intel processors in the new Macs are cool, but to be honest with you, i'm not sure why you'd want to run Windows..except for "comfort" purposes. The Mac OP's are better, and run all of the important components (like MS Office) or Envoy (mac's version of Outlook).

Some programs (like the one's I have to use for work) will only run on Windows, so I have no choice.
On a different note, do any of you all have any experience with a laptop mount in the truck. Due to me needing the laptop for work (and the PCS software) while I travel around the area, I want to get a laptop mount. Having it slide around on the console or passenger seat just isn't cutting it anymore...especially when you have to jam on the brakes and it goes sliding into the floor.
These are a couple I've been looking at: 1) RAM Laptop Mount - Features ramvb108sw1 Laptop Vehicle Mounts Stands Desks For SUV Truck Ford Excursion F-150 F-250 , 2) Ford F350 Laptop Truck Stand by Jotto Desk They're more expensive than I would have thought, but since I need the computer in the truck, I'm looking at it as an insurance policy against damage from hitting the floor. Any others out there I should be looking at? Hopefully some of you have some experience with them. Brandon is the first one that comes to mind, since he has a similar type of position as me, but I don't know if he uses a computer during the day while working.
