OK, you guys have got to listen to this.
So my dog, Mattie...has the most interesting cry/whine you'll ever hear in your life.
It's so interesting, people who have been touring my house, have been leaving comments about it on my realtor's feedback page.
A small disclaimer..there is nothing wrong with Mattie. She is not sick, or hurt. This is just the noise she makes. The audio is a little strange, I adjusted it so you could hear her better, but it makes me sound like I live in a tin can.
I took this audio last night. She was upset because she was outside, and I was not. She was actually being pretty quiet. Don't mind the picture--google wouldn't let me upload this unless it was a "video" so I added a picture I had of her.

Lisa, Mattie sounds like a beagle I once had.
Ruger was his name.
Every time I would put him in the dog box to go rabbit hunting, he would cry all the way their until I drop the tailgate. Made for a long drive.

Mattie is not dying, I promise you. Most dogs whine a bit, well, she is a very dramatic dog.
Mark, I know beagles can be very talkative dogs.
Mattie only throws a fit like that when she is separated from me. Sometimes she does the low-tone grunting noises when she is ready for bed and she wants me to go into the bedroom.
We call her elephant dog for a reason. One of these days ill get it on video, when she is really throwing a tantrum.

Our old beagle was a whiner as well. Had animal control at our house a couple of times - were called by the neighbors.

Maddie just scared the shiiit out of my dog, Hannah was sitting right next to me when I turned it on, she jumped off the couch and went into my room and jumped in bed with Troy. 
That is too cute, Lisa. The only time my dog talks is when she wants to go bye bye.

It was a nice 75 in Denver today. The gal that I was traveling with brought a JACKET with her to Phoenix???? I had to poke fun at her for that one. I had to wear big boy clothes for my meetings or else it would have been flip-flops and shorts all Monday and today for me. At least we rented a convertible so we could go topless...
