Joe, glad to hear that you are on your way home! Sounds like you can't let your guard down quite yet but it is safer than where you were. Guess the stores need to stock up on liquid beverages before you hit home!
Joe, How much longer will it be before your actually back in the States? Glad to here you got to have Real Beer!!!
I'll be home before the week is out.

The temps back home are nice. Low 90's but we'll have to re-introduce you to that little thing we call humidity.
Funny you say that -- I'm actually sitting outside right now in the heat!! I'm under shade, of course, and I have a big fan blowing on me. I'd go sit in the AC right now, but I have to plug my laptop in since the battery went T-U, and they only have British-style plugs inside. The only US ones are out here. But it's not bad -- only 102 or so, and the fan & bottle of cold water makes it quite bearable. I think my wireless card freaked out because of the heat though. Got a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) a while ago. Just might have to splurge for an adapter...
I don't mind humidity. We had a couple "humid" days in Iraq. Got up to around 50%, and it felt really good! Humid air doesn't heat up as fast as dry air, so I'll take those 85-90* days, humidity or not!!
Get your Dad to front you the money for a snowblower. Is that not how the modern day kids that shovel snow for money do it now. Unless you're too rural to make it worthwhile. But if you can make leaves work, why not snow clearance?

I started riding with my dad when I was 15 shoveling the side walks on the job sites he was plowing, he told me he could give me a little piece of crap shovel or I could buy a nicer one so I did. The next year when I could drive I bought a plow for my dads ATV and paid him a percentage of what I made for letting me use the ATV. I made $55 an hr plowing side walks of shopping centers and govt. complexes, I was even at the vice presidents house twice clearing sidewalks. The last year I did it I ran a crew of about 5-8 people and even got a job offer from Brickman to come work for them just riding around checking on jobs and running a larger crew. So Jacob if you dont wrestle one year you can make some big bucks doing snow removal.

Very true, so long as you get the snow.... back in MD in High School I did some snow shovelling, but the big $$$ for me was in pushing people out of snowbanks they slid in to. Talk about a leg workout. But it was pay me $50 or call the towtruck, wait 2hrs, and pay $150+.... man did I sleep good at the end of the day!!

Yea I offered to pull a few people out, but after not shaving for a few days and i guess looking like hell from working non stop every one just got in there car and rolled up the windows when I would start walking towards them... Or Im just one ugly guy
What have you all found to be a good internet browser for use with Vista? IE is starting to get really slow and completely locking up at times. It's fine on the laptop with XP, but the desktop has Vista and that's what's giving me the headache. So what works well with Vista...Opera, Chrome, Firefox, Mozilla, etc...?

Jeremy, I swear by Firefox, but I have no idea how it runs on Vista. I'm staying with XP as long as I can. Relating to the "getting old" list, I guess I just don't give a crap about having all that "bling" on my PC. My laptop is a plain black Thinkpad, my desktop is a homebuilt 2GHz Athlon in a plain white case, and XP is just fine on both of 'em...
Thanks Chris. Haven't heard much about Chrome, but I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.
I would have liked to stay with XP, but my desktop completely wiped itself out and I had to get a new one. Vista was my only option, and at the time I couldn't afford to spend the money to get a Mac like I wanted.
Ok, just installed Chrome. I'll see how it goes. First off, it seems to be a little quicker than IE. Also seems a little more basic, which is fine with me, as IE has too many options and add-ons, IMO.
Edit, just realize that Chrome has a built in spell checker, when you enter text. Neat little feature. It underlines the word, and a simple right-click pulls up suggested options.

Thanks for the idea I might put that into use after highschool. I like wrestling I usually fill the lighter weights which now a days are hard to find. I ain't too bad but I'm not great. I might be able to shovel some driveways after practice but my schedule won't be as flexible, If anyone specifically asks me I probbably will.
