Sounds like somebody needs a train horn. That way you can scare 'em so bad they smear mascara halfway across their damn face. That'll teach 'em to do it at home first.
I just looked at him, and told him straight up that I was there to get wallpaper, not some punk's opinion and walked away.
Laying on the train horn is one of my favorite things to do when someone is not paying attention and moving my direction. It's amazing how quickly they pay attention when they hear that.
As for the Home Depot thing...all I've to to say to you about that is, Atta Girl!

Even with my pu$$y horn, I'll get a retard in front of me every now and again (like the person who drifts into another lane on the highway) and I'll lay on it, and they look up in the rear view mirror and all they see is my FORD symbol on my grill, and then they wig out and just about drive off the side of the road.
That scenario + train horn = total satisfaction.
On the Home Depot thing..yeah lately it's like I've turned into a different person, with the inability to take anyone else's crap. I used to be real meek and shy
Just got a new phone with voice dialing (Palm Centro) - works pretty good for most names, and I have plenty of speed-dials setup. I almost always have an earpiece for talking in the truck, and use it most of the time when at home too!!

Don't let those kids bother you. You are much better off having done these things yourself. You're stronger, smarter, more capable and you don't rely on anyone but yourself. That is something that those kids will never be able to say, and they don't know the simple joy and pride of doing something on their own.
Funny, my 56-year-old, technologically inept stepmom texts me all the time, and she's getting pretty good at it! I text people all the time, but usually for quick question and answers. It's not unusual for me to text Randy, my stepmom, my brother, and 3 of my sisters all in one day, and maybe a friend thrown in here and there. I'm not a big phone talker, so texting is great for me.
Mike, they'd have to get through Chris first. I dunno about you, but that's not a battle I'd choose.
Good for you Brandon. Maybe he'll think about his experience with you the next time he is with a customer. I don't know how many times I needed help, or was waiting to check out or whatever, and the person I was waiting on was too busy on the phone having a fight with her boyfriend than to do her job. Bad Customer Service is a big peeve of mine, it drives me crazy. Randy turns red with embarassment sometimes because usually, I can't keep my dang mouth shut and I usually get all loud and call the person out on it, or ask to talk to a manager. Night before last, I was at Home Depot. These two kids (I dunno, 18, 19-years-old, obviously f-ing off instead of working) who worked there stopped and asked if I was finding everything okay. I asked them if they had wallpaper (long story) and the kid looked and me and said "Oh why would you want to do that. Wallpaper is horrible!" I just looked at him, and told him straight up that I was there to get wallpaper, not some punk's opinion and walked away. Later on he found me and apologized and gave me some ideas on where I might find what I was looking for.[/quote]
