Keep it up Mark! I've been told that the first two weeks is the hardest, and if you can make it through that, you should be fine. We're all here for you if you need some encouragement.

I cannot keep up with these OT threads!!!
Spending the next week in Yellowstone with the grandkids right now and getting a LOT of great experiences with herds of elk grazing, then crossing the river and heading straight for us.
We had front row seats to about 7 doe elk crossing the river, emerging right next to us, we had to back away to keep the distance. Water dripping off thier fur and shining in the sunlight. Kids were completely awe struck. So was I.
Next day we saw a bull elk grazing.
Weather is crystal clear blue skies.
God is good.

Kinda makes me hungry hearing that... Elk is some of the very best meat you'll ever taste...hunting season right around the corner too...
Mark- think of the diesel fuel and truck money you are saving by quitting smoking - you can probably pay your insurance with what you were spending on cig's.
Dan, glad to hear that you and the kids are having a great time. Where all that awesome scenery and wildlife comes from, really makes ya think, doesn't it.
Mark, hang in there. You can do it. My dad smoked like a steam engine for many years. Had his teeth pulled in prep for dentures. Mouth hurt for a few days so never had the urge to light up. Got his dentures, was feeling better, by habit pulled the pack out of his pocket, pulled out a cigarette, realized he hadn't had one for a few days, put them back in his pocket and never smoked again. I don't recommend this as a way to stop smoking but it worked for him. In a few months, he could hardly stand to be around cigarette smoke. He really felt bad for what he put his family through.
Mark, spend the alcohol and nicotine money that you are gonna save by quitting on fuel for a 'Smokin' trip, and I will buy you plenty of beers.......
I have already thought about that. I spend very little money on food. So I may be able to begin to save a few bucks. My biggest expense is really the insurance on 3 vehicles now. I should have made Smokin last year seeing how as I am only a few hours away and nearly all Interstate at that.
It doesn't get any better than this!
Where the elk came out of the river is where we were standing.
We had to back away to give them leeway on thier crossing.
They stood on the opposite shore for a while looking at us before I got the hint and backed everyone off.
