JT-

Where'd you pick up your Fleetguard 2 micron fuel filter and filter head? Mainly a part # for the filter head? I'm wanting to use this setup for my post pump filter when I do the bowl delete but I'm having trouble finding what I want. What size are the in and out ports on the head?

Thanks for the info.

Ryan, here is the filter setup I got. Head unit, filter, fittings, bracket...everything included: Glacier Diesel Power - Product Detail

I can't find a part # on it and I already threw away the package it came in. I remember it was a Fleetguard filter head though. It has 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet.

Looks great, can't wait to see it run down the track.

I will start looking for a trailer you can pull behind your truck so you can take 10 - 12 people at a time with you. That way you only need to do this no more than 20 times.

Yes nick, it will. He's going to use the ford parts on the chassis and the dodge parts on the engine, adapt them together and it will be like stock, i know, when he's done with it.

Kris is correct, AC will work and everything should look and work like it belonged there stock. I don't want to pop the hood and have people be able to tell it was a conversion. I want them to look at it and wonder who I know at Ford that let me custom order a Cummins powered F-350.

Well, I'm actually still up from Thursday...long night of working on the truck. Yes, that means my injectors finally showed up. Got them in, valvetrain put back in place, valve lash adjusted, and everything buttoned up. Also put the CFM intake on today. Motor's almost ready to go in the truck.

Yesterday I put the PCS controller in the truck, ran the wires it needs to the engine compartment, and hooked up the wires it uses under the dash. Also got my fan schroud and brackets picked up at the Dodge dealer this week. A couple of the brackets for it need a little metal added to them so I can drill some new holes for use on my engine. I have to use an 04.5+ schroud because it's engine mounted, so the brackets need modification. Anyway, I dropped the brackets off with a friend who will add the metal. He's also going to add some metal to my battery try so both batteries will fit.

Ordered up my intake stuff today too. I am not sure exactly how it's all going to fit, so I have a variety of 90* and 45* rubber elbows coming along with some aluminum tubing that I can cut to fit. For a filter, I ordered up the AFE version of the 6637. I just hope I can get it to fit properly with the intake parts I have. It's going to be located where the battery was on the passenger side. I also need to get new IC boots, and I'm trying to get the Dieselsite boots, but I can't get ahold of anyone there. I don't need the clamps, just the boots, but they don't have just the boots available on the website, so I'm waiting for a call back from them.

Plan for tomorrow (today?) is to strip out the stock Ford engine harness of what I don't need and to find, mark all the wires I'm going to use on the Cummins harness, and get the adapter plate, flex plate, & starter installed on the engine. I've got a few other small things to do as well...flush out the heater core (Cummins uses a different type of coolant, not compatable with what's in there now), change the filter in my Aeromotive inline filter, etc...

If the weather cooperates, I've got some help from Jeff and Rob (the guys who helped me pull the 7.3) to get the engine in the truck on Saturday. Then I can finalize the wiring, fuel lines, and coolant lines.

All the little stuff to get everything finished up is probably going to take a bit. I still need to get a throttle pedal and cable for a gas truck (no idea where to get one cheap though) and the cable kit from Destroked, radiator hoses, AC lines made, battery cables made, and the power distribution blocks for all the stuff needing 12V power.

So, that's my update for now. I'm going to try and get some sleep. I think I'm finally wound down from the excitement of getting my injectors back. Here's some pics for you guys to see the progress.

Injectors installed:

Valvetrain back in place and valve lash adjusted:

CFM+ intake horn & Glacier Diesel grid heater delete:

Engine almost ready to go in the truck:
